Do the DL on-site resorts generally have summer specials?

Thinking of visiting DL instead of DW next summer (July or August). Do the resorts typically have specials? Or should I plan on "rack".

They usually have some sort of special to get people to stay onsite instead of at a neighboring hot. I'm not sure what they're planning for next summer with all the DCA expansion finishing up. It'll depend on how much the rooms fill up. I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few perks for onsite guests to get special FPs and early entry into the new Carsland area.

They will probably do, like they most often do, something to increase the length of stay.

Stay three get fourth night free or a discount off 3 days or longer stays.

Look in late March and April for the summer offers.

Unlike WDW, new attractions at DLP/DCA do not usually get FP as soon as the attractions open. TSM still does not have FP. The Little Mermaid does not have FP, etc. I would be very surprised if Cars Land has FP access from the opening.

Our last trip was June 2010 and they had a buy 3 nights get 2 nights free deal then. I think the only new thing opening then was WOC though.

We are looking to go early next August, so I am hoping for another decent deal. If not, then we will probably stay off site.

I think Al Lutz said recently, if the rumor holds, that of the new Carsland attractions, only Radiator Springs Racers would have FastPass.

And as for summer specials, they usually do, but with the expectations for occupancy and attendance next year, they might hold out to announce those longer than usual.

I would not credit that guy with any information about RSR and FP. The rumors have extisted before he restated them.

Well that's where I read it and, to be honest, I always read his column and find it to be full of information that turns out to be factual.
