Do the crowds really bother you?

haha I see a lot of people hate crowds.
I don't blame ya'll, but I've accepted it and the fact that I'm at WDW makes it so much better.
So, the crowds still don't bother me all that much.
yay me for all of my patience.
lol.
:rotfl:

Yes!

I really can't stand crowds. To pay the money it costs for Disney and then waste hours in line for attractions, food and even restrooms is not worth it to me.

We went once with family, including two young nieces, before we had kids. It was spring break. We had no plan, and fantasyland was PACKED! I hated it.
I walked around most of the day humming, "Be our guest. Be our guest. Put your patience to the test."

It took me 10 years - and 3 kids of my own - to go back.

I planned a trip for a slower time. We avoided crowds, got our money's worth ...and still got to kick back and enjoy the scenery.

We had so much fun we went back two years later. Now I vacation here on the DIS in between trips.

Would I go during the high season again?

Maybe, if conditions were right. But I would be sure to get there at opening...and to have a plan.

Crowds don't bother me in terms of attractions. I don't get stressed out about having to wait or having to get a FastPass. However, I have to say that the crowds did bother us somewhat last New Year's Eve in Magic Kingdom. It took us over an hour to get from the Peter Pan ride to the exit - wall to wall people, you couldn't even move. That was a little bit scary.

That would just creep me out. I have a need for a certain amt. of personal space....

Just remember...if you are in a crowded place, you ARE the crowd!

Honestly, it does tend to get a little uncomfortable during Christmas week, but not bad enough to have me avoid the place. I just plan around it, avoiding the worst of it, and enjoying the rest of it.

We go in August because DH refuses to go when it would involve pulling the kids out of school, so it is crowded when we are there. Fastpasses make it bearable, though. The only crowd situation that bothers me a LOT is fireworks crowds. I don't care that much about seeing them anyway, so the crowds aren't worth it for me.

I fully expect Disney World to be crowded whenever we go....it's just part of the deal. The tradeoff of a great family vacation is worth it to me.

We were expecting sholder to sholder, no breathing room type of crowds in July.

However, it wasn't bad at all. At least twice since we've gotten back, we've been caught in terrible crowds at local events (college football is big around here, they were both football events).. and we said to each other.. This is what we expected at Disney World!

My husband is a teacher, so our vacations are always going to be in July (although, we're working on changing that). We just accept the crowds.

They are much better than Wal-Mart on a Saturday.

I hate crowds. I just don't like all the waiting, and honestly I don't feel like I get my money's worth, when I spend most of the day in lines. I guess I'm spoiled by going in the late fall.

I know that this Christmas trip will be a challange, but like I told my daughter it's not about riding rides as much as experiencing the sights and sounds.

Crowds bother me too! The less people, the shorter the waits for everything. I'm going early/mid December and am praying for small corwds.

Yep, crowds bother me. Well, maybe I should say, crowds are ok, but wall to wall people bothers me. I hate it at malls, grocery stores, fairs, airports, wherever. I avoid them when possible....I would never dream of attempting to shop on Black Friday or grocery shopping the day before a holiday. And it isn't the crowds, people wise so much, as the not being able to move. I can't stand it when you just want to get to the end of an aisle and every avenue is blocked...KWIM?

I go to Disney off season...I know off season is harder and harder to come by, but I just make sure not to go when it isn't PACKED, like spring break, Christmas week, or summer for that matter, it does effect my trip enjoyment if it's wall to wall people, Disney or not.

Crowds don't bother me at all. By getting to the parks early, having a plan, using fastpass and taking advantage of EHM we stay ahead of the crowds.

I'd rather deal with crowds then risk my son's grades(10th grade) slipping by him missing a week of school.

I personally hate crowds, but I love Disney so much, I try NOT to notice. I try NOT to notice the wait times. I try NOT to notice I'm being bumped and having my foot stepped on. I really don't mind so much, I'm on vacation at my favorite place in the world. It could be worse --at least I'm not at Walmart.

This is exactly how we feel. I can't stand crowds and can't stand waiting in line, but I'll deal with it for Disney :goodvibes

Hate the crowds. I like to look around and enjoy my surroundings at WDW - everything is so pretty! Can't do that when there is a mass of bodies between me and whatever I'd like to see.

Have resolved to no longer go to WDW when it is busy. :)

I don't mind the crowds, not one little bit. There are members of my family, though, that find them difficult to deal with. I am in education so spring break, summers, and Christmas it is. Actually, I mind the heat of the summer much more than I mind the crowds. I love to stop and "people watch". It's great entertainment. The more crowds, the more fun!!

Yes, crowds does bother me. That's why I choose to take my WDW vacation during OFF SEASON so there are less people that will bug me. I would rather wait 20 minutes for a ride then 2-3 hours. I don't understand why people who go to the parks during peak season and complain about how crowded it is.

They bother me. It's bad enough dogding strollers during non-peak times.

In 2003 we were foolish enough to allow our time to extend into the week of Christmas. Never again. We're happy going in off season.

We get to the parks early and avoid the areas that get crowded even during off season. Our afternoons and evenings are pretty much centered around staying away from the huge crowds that form around the top attractions that we already did earlier that morning.

I agree.

I feel the same way about the people who go during slow times and then complain about the parks closing early, not being able to see Spectromagic each night, and being down for rehabs.

There are pro and cons to each season.

Crowds don't bother me at all. I actually like it when more people are at Disney. I hate it when no one is there, it feels like a ghost town.

I actually prefer larger crowds since Disney will put out more characters at these times. We are fastpass experts so we can work around the large crowds with rides.
