Do the characters still wander about the parks or

do you only see them at certain set places/times.

I haven't been in 10 years but then you would see them wandering about. From what I've read it seems many characters are now part of attractions.

Do they ever just wander about and you just happen to see them? To me that seems much more exciting than lining up to see Mickey etc. Just wondering what we should expect when we go in Aug!

I can't remember the last time I saw them wandering the parks... even if they did, they'd be mobbed by guests anyway Disney usually has lines specifically set up for character meet and greets. You can catch them at character breakfasts wandering around within the restaurant-but that's about it.....

Nope. I would say about 95% of the time now the characters have set meeting places/times. They really don't wander anymore.
