Do taxis take 5 passengers?

We've always rented a car, but now I'm thinking that with ME, why not save $250? We would like to take a taxi for our couple of resort to resort trips (for dinner, etc). My understanding is that there are almost always taxis waiting outside the resorts. But will they take us all in one? We are a family of five of average size: 2 adults, 13, 10, and 7 year olds.

I often see cabs with a sign that says "5 Can Ride For The Same Price As 1," so they must be capable! The only thing I'd be worried about is the luggage, but at the very least you should be able to take a van cab if everything won't fit into a car.

There are taxi vans that can carry 5 quite comfortably. Just let someone know at the bellstand or valet out front of the hotel and they'll get one for you. If there's not one at your resort, there's one nearby on property somewhere.
