It's been my experience that only smart people are aware of how little they know and look stuff up, read, do research and that sort of thing. The really dopey are generally aware they are dopey and look to others for guidance, good or bad. Now the worst mix are the people in the middle, just smart enough to partially understand a thing without fully grasping their limitations & they are by far the most dangerous because they don't know enough to know what they don't know I've had a few friends like this who grab onto a thing and tear off hog wild at a wall... I like to get out of their way, things rarely end well for them. The only thing more interesting than their misunderstanding is their confusion after the big kaboom.

Know thyself is a good one to go by.
