And if not, is there a fan? I'm thinking that being in an inside stateroom (with no opportunity to open a door to a verandah) that it could be hot getting ready and sleeping ... fingers crossed for a/c :D

Yes! And a thermostat, too. It can get very chilly in the public area, too. Movie theatre, clubs, etc. Bring a light sweater of Jacket. Even on deck at night can be breezy.

HI Coleland, according to dcl all Staterooms have tub and shower, remote-control color TV, ample closet space, in-room safe, hair dryer, phone with voice-mail messaging, and individual climate control. but i have read of people taking fans onboard with them.
Hope this helps

Our experience on both the Magic and Wonder was that the air conditioning in the staterooms wasn't great. Others didn't have the same experience, but even with the thermostat turned all the way down, the room could get warm. We called for maintenance, who explained that they don't allow the temp to be turned way down to help control condensation. They admitted that other cruise lines allow passengers to bring down the temperature to lower levels. On Royal Caribbean, for example, the room temp could get much colder, and much more comfortable!

We've cruised 4 times on Disney, once on Wonder & 3 times on Magic--- never experienced a warm or hot room--very comfortable & sometimes a little too cool, so we just upped the thermostat.:D

I didn't even know there was a thermostat in the room, whatever it was preset to on our last cruise was very comfortable, the room was not too cold, and we slept great.

We actually had to make the room warmer as well. And I sleep with a fan all through the winter! No problem with the A/C for us!

Our room was very stuffy and warm, even with the thermostat turned way down. I asked our room steward if something could be done to make the room cooler. She asked if we liked it really cold or just a little cooler. I wanted it a little cooler, not cold. When we returned later that day the room was much cooler, and there was a note left on the thermostat that said something like maintenance was performed and the date, etc.
So if you think your cabin isn't cool enough...just ask for the a/c to be adjusted. :)

Our room was VERY cold sometimes. I had to adjust the thermostat up some.

If you have a stateroom that is not cooling to your needs definitely contact maintenence. They can get it working property in a jiffy.

Our room was plenty cool, being an inside stateroom on deck 2. It would actually get chilly at night. But it felt great coming in out of the hot sun all day. We also had a ceiling fan that helped move the cool airconditioner air through out the room.

Our room was VERY warm most of the time. But we were cruising in July and we were down from the laundry room - we are thinking both may have something to do with it. We asked if the room could be cooler and nothing was done. I was very uncomfortable and I'm a hot blooded person - it was very hard for me to deal with.
