Do Rollators Need to be Foldable?

I am concerned about my rollator walker at WDW. Starting with the Magical Express, then with bus transport to/from the parks.

Now my walker does fold but it is big, it is a bariatric walker. It is just a major pain to fold and I was hoping to use the basket underneath to hold items while in the parks. This would prevent me from folding it without taking several minutes.

Any experiences to share?

You will just park your Rollator like a stroller, wheelchair or ECV during most rides or attractions; no need to fold it up.

If you can't do the steps on the DME bus, you can use the lift, however you may be required to sit in a wheelchair that will be provided while on the platform. The rollator can be put under the bus with luggage - it may be possible for it to be put in laid down so that it does't have to be folded. That will be at the discretion of the DME driver.

The Parks buses will be tricky - you need to ask the driver if you can use the ramp to walk up, and then sit in a seat with the Rollator pulled toward your knees. You will need to hold on to it while the bus is in motion. I have seen other Guests do this, but I don't know if it's "allowed"

we drive so I can not say anything about DME but my guess is it will be up to driver if you are allowed to use the ramp to board bus. with DME I would not leave anything in basket because if you can store with out folding it will be store sideways so the basket can come open
