Do requests actually get honored at WL?

A member of this board said I should ask for a high floor so I can see the fireworks from the MK when staying at the WL. I called and asked and the CM said she would make a note of it. Do I really have a better chance since calling? Anyone have any experience with this?

All you can do is have requests noted on your reservation.

Whether requests can be honored depends on a lot of factors at the resort that week. Yes, they do get honored, but sometimes they cannot.

If you read the fine print in your reservation, all Disney owes you is a room on-site somewhere. You will see requests are just that requests; they will try to do the best they can, but they cannot always do it. But a lot of times they do.

You have done everything you can do.

I had all my requests honored at the WL. I requested a high floor overlooking the Otter Pond. And I got 4th floor, which was high enough to see a lot, but not all of the fireworks through the trees. I was super happy with our room location.

Well I thought it can't hurt. If it does happen great if it doesn't happen great as well because i will be staying at the WL for the first time ever!!!!

Same here .... I think you are more likely to get your request honored if you check-in earlier in the day. You can check-in any time after 7am .... your room will probably not be ready but you can still check in. They will text you your room number when its ready.

They do their best to honor requests. However, this is all that it is. It is a request and is not guaranteed. I would try to go into it with no expectations so you are not disappointed with the location of your room.
