Hi all!
I just checked and Big Thunder will be closed for refurbishment from August 15 - November 21. Our last day is November 21. Aargh!
Do the rides ever "get done" and reopen early?
Thanks!

My experience is they are pretty accurate with their dates. But, maybe a bit of pixie dust will speed them up a day or so. :sunny:

We were lucky enough to have Space Mountain open 2 days early after a rehab on one of our trips, so it can happen! Keep hoping!!

Different kind of rehab...but when we stayed at BCV, SAB slide was under rehab. It was not supposed to reopen before we left. But we saw some lifeguards testing it on the day before we left & happily, it reopened on our last day. Youngest DS really wanted to enjoy the slide, so despite the fact that the day was cloudy & a bit cool, we spent 2 hrs. at SAB, prior to our departure.

I'm not hoping for a couple days early - I'd like at least 10 days early! Our last day is Nov. 11. I'm thinking we need more that a little pixie dust!

Not a rehab, but when they changed Mr. Toad into the Pooh ride, it wasn't scheduled to open until a date way after our trip ended. It actually ended up soft opening before we even got there - that was a bonus.:D

I need major pixie dust :teeth:

I will be there the last week in October and would need a miracle and lots of pixie dust for it to open then .

Anyone know if there is a possibilty it could open that much sooner?

I know....wishful thinking;) ;)

I am sorry, but there is NO way. They have alloted themselves three months (Aug-Nov) for the rehab. They know how much work they will need to do. There is no way that it would be completed a month early.

Thank you everyone! I have new hope! But I will not tell the kids there is a possibility, just in case. ;)
I'm sorry that SueSue and cjs1001 might not get their hopes fulfilled. :(
But, just think- There will be two NEW rides for us: Mickey's Philharmagic AND Mission: Space! :bounce: :bounce:
