Do refurbishments ever open early?

Hello,

My SIL and family and headed to Disney next week. Their last day at MK is 3/6 and Little Mermaid refurbishment is scheduled until 3/6. Is there a chance it might open that day? Her girls would love it.

Space mtn did back in sept '13

I could have sworn that originally the end date for little mermaid was 3/5. My youngest loves that ride, and 3/6 is our last day at magic kingdom. I'm also really hoping it opens early!

It depends on the site. You can't book FP for 3/6 though.

yes, splash mountain opened 2 days early after refurbishments this year. But it was a "soft open"-- opened at a random time in the afternoon, subject to closure at any time. Not sure if you could get a SDFP once it was soft opened

Haunted Mansion opened SEVERAL days early, which we weren't expecting at all because it was such a short scheduled refurb, which decreases the chances of it opening earlier. We were there the 12-16th. I think it was scheduled to open on the 18th and I was hoping maybe it would be open on the 16th. Well, it was open on our very first day, the 12th.
