Do prices drop once the free dinning offer ends?

We have never had the dinning plan as I have always managed to save money not buying it. However at this time I see Disney is offering free dinning if booked by 19th October. My question is how does this affect the prices now?
Once the free dinning offer finishes will the price of the accommodation come down?
I also have noticed the price of the park tickets has increased a lot since we bought ours earlier this year for use in May. For four of us I paid £1196 and now when I look to book for 2018 its £1676. Makes a rather large difference to the budget!
Does Disney do any offers on park tickets at certain times of year?

depends which property you're interested in..
if OKW or SSR, i think the UK free dining rate for those two properties is actually a discounted rate..

if you're not interested in free dining, you might be better off doing a room only booking via the US website...
but you have to be willing to wait to book....they often have specials on room only rates as you get close to the date...

yes and no

yes, there will be some decrease in hotel price. reason being that disney does a small discount when you buy ticket and accomodation together as a package. This discount disappears for free dining, and comes back when FD ends. But that's a very small amout (5% IIRRC)

and no, because for some hotels it will increase. OKW and SSR especially, since they're currently discounted at 30% off with free dining

when you bought your tickets, chances are it was when the tickets where 25% off before Free Dining Kicked in
this was the first time such deal was offered, so there is no guarantee it will come back this year

there will probably be a room discount in december/january, under the forms of free nights (1 night free for a 7 nights stay, 2 nights for 14, and 3 for 21, depending on hotel category) but there is no guarantee this deal wil return.

Have tended to find its a yes - if your booking Deluxe or DVC property (Saratoga Springs can have great rates when the offer ends (though bear in mind they are artificially too high if the deals on) but not for long as they get snapped up) - and not much difference at all if your looking at moderate or all stars etc (in fact it can go up)..

Its a bit like cruise ship offers.. Basically its just some algorithm that ties room availability to demand and works out either a discount down or in some cases a price increase. In the end they are trying to take the same amount from you by the time you have finished your trip. Sometimes you can win on how this works but you do have to study it daily (key point is at the very least you may be spending more in the park/hotel)

As pointed out above your best option is to book room and tkts direct with them - sort out your own flight for those dates and then do the maths
