Do pins/codes expire?

We are new to all this and hoping to receive one of these discounts at some point! Disney has our email address and we ordered the DVD last year, so now we are just hoping to get blessed with some Disney magic!

Just a few questions that I can't seem to find answers on:

1. Will it increase our chances of getting a pin or code if we order another dvd? We ordered the 2007 one, but haven't ordered the one for 2008.

2. If we do end up getting a pin or code, could they arrive via email and postal mail?

3. If we do end up getting a pin or code, do they expire? Meaning are they only good for a certain time? If I received one for a value season, could I book it now to use towards a 2010 trip? Do you have to book within a certain # of days after receiving the code or pin?

Q 1. It might increase your chance - so go ahead and order the 2008 dvd

Q 2. Some people get them in the mail - others get them from e-mail ( I got mine in the mail)

Q 3. Yes, they expire. I received an e-mail in Oct. for 2008 dates and when I called in Jan., the code had already expired. Fortunately, I got the 40% off a couple of weeks later in the mail.

And even though you can book into 2009 and 2010, the rate will not be guaranteed until those year prices are posted. For ex., 2009 prices may not come out until Aug. 2008

So, it sounds like you've been lucky enough to get receive a few of these discounts.

Have you been going to WDW for many years? Just wondering if that makes a difference. We just planned our first trip together last year.

We've been many times since 1993. Last visit was 12/06

I did receive a postcode in the mail last year but we were not planning on going in 2007 - I remember the postcard being for a savings at the value resorts, which is not where we usually stay.

The postcard I received recently for 40% off, I do not remember receiving before (meaning that large of a discount from a postcard). This postcard said 40% off deluxe, but when I called and asked if it was good for a mod, I was told yes. And BTW, this postcard expires March 31, 2008.

I really do not know if it matters how many yrs you have been going. A friend of mine goes often and was last there in 11/07 and she has not received the 40% off postcard.
