First- I'm not a lawyer. I've never read the rental agreement(see below), but I'm going to assume that you don't have the right to assign the stroller to another person. Most contracts forbid this type of behavior because it impacts revenues AND assigns liability. You signed the contract, which means you have waiver rights and such. By giving the stroller to another person, Disney asumes the risk that this person will not injure themselves or someone else. If you read the fine print, I'd bet this is a no-no. (I do negotiate contracts for a living, and this language is in all of them!!

Actually Steve there is no rental contract . Give them $18 bucks, they give you a stroller. There use to be a deposit required, but they've even dropped that in the last year. You will now find abandoned strollers by the exits. Once, (get ready to gasp) there was one at the turnstile when we entered the park at 5 pm for an ADR at CP. Rather then using up a rental day just to go to CP and back, we used the abandoned stroller. (truly shocking I know)

The peering down your noses that goes on at this site is getting worse and worse everyday. I feel like I am in high school trying to get into the cool kids clique. What ever happened to live and let live?

The main problem with your "live and let live theory" is that people use that or say that to justify breaking or bending the rules to fit their needs. People who usually use that saying also follow it up by saying "no moral judgements" because they probably feel a little remorse or guilt as it is and don't want any more added to it. One of my favorite examples is a guy I saw shaking a vending machine to obtain free product and saw I was looking at him doing it. He said it wasn't hurting anyone and for me to mind my own business. So when I see that being said in a thread like this, it always makes me laugh.

I have seen some pretty heated debates about pool hopping, etc, etc, and it shows the wide gap that exsists in our society. Some of these debates may seem really childish and they probably are, but some here on these boards keep overlooking the big picture. Who are you to say what rules it's ok to break and what rules are ok to follow?

There are rules and reasons for everything and even though some seem ridiculous you have to follow or try and respect them. I don't agree with a lot rules or regulations that are in place today, but last time I checked, my application for the postion of "God" was denied.

I have said it before many times and I truly believe it as well. Life would be easier, nicer, less stressfull, and a heck of a lot cleaner if all people would respect others rights and the enviroment around them. Following the rules in place is the first step toward that goal. It's that simple, it really is!

From what I've read, the "dirty diaper" trick is usually done by pouring a bit of root beer or cola (a dark liquid) into a diaper, putting it in a bag, and tying the bag onto the stroller.

Your right, I am just fixated on the burger thing.....which as far as I can tell is not hurting anyone. I don't condone the pool hopping, or other actions that directly break a stated or posted rule....I was speaking out more towards the money saving tips such as the double burger thing....

And also, because I am staying at the Poly and they have concierge...can I just go in and have a couple drinks and not pay for it?...I did pay to stay at WDW, didn't I?

Well the concierge lounge is just another room right? Pool hopping, Concierge hopping, it's all good. But why limit it to the same hotel. I'm sure Grand Floridian Concierge lounge probably has better scotch.

Ok, I really, really don't understand what possible problem anybody could have with somebody ordering a double cheeseburger, and PAYING for an extra bun! We do this at least a couple of times on each trip because it makes sense financially, and it is an appropriate amount of food. For those of you who ask WHY we just don't cut the burger in half, it's simple... paying for an extra bun means that each person gets a whole single burger, and can top it to their own tastes. For example, my daughter likes mustard and my son does not. No worries about "cross contamimination".

I came to the conclusion along time ago that I can only spend each dollar ONCE (no matter how hard I try to do otherwise ). I can't for the life of me grasp why someone would choose to pay $6.99 for a single burger and fries, and then another $4-$5 for just a single burger, when they could just order the double burger and extra bun for .79 and be done with it. I can afford to do lots of things that other DIS'ers do, but I'm just too thrifty to do them. I want to see value for my dollar so that I can spend the savings somewhere else.

Wow - after reading so many of these posts and not being able to stand one more...all I can say is people are petty.

You guys share all the meals you want, buy an extra bun, push your big kids in stollers, share a mug and split the drink, swap items in the parks, go on the cheapest budget you can and have a great time. Don't see where you are hurting anybody and it is certainly nothing to get all snotty about. Walt did not create Disney to cater to the wealthy.

In our case, I'm not a real fan of cheese so there's no problem. DS10 gets the cheese. He in turn is not a big fries eater, so I end up with a bit more than half of those.

Buy a extra bun, heck yes! For those who say just split it....have you ever sat down to eat with kids and split the burger? "MOM he got more" "MOM her half is bigger". Just easier to get another bun and they both have two full sandwiches!

I was just thinking before I got to this post that the people who are asking why not split the burger must not have ever tried to split food between children. It just cuts out the arguements when everyone has there own "whole" burger. I also don't understand how some people think it is a way of scamming Disney. I mean, they are the ones selling me the bun, I'm sure they don't think I have kid that just likes to eat the bun.

My boss rented a scooter at DisneyLand in Nov. I just assumed there had to be some paperwork. $18/day for a week is the cost of bringing your own and then some!

How do you manage the airports without a stroller?

I was only refering to pool hoping, old mug re using, or sneaking into a concierge lounge to get free food. I wasn't refering to people who split a sandwich because there's nothing wrong with that. It's only wrong if you go to a buffet and share the food of of your plate and pay for only one person, which some people try and do.

I totally agree with this. I ALWAYS split the double cheeseburger with my younger son. The first time we did this I was doing the low carb thing, so I never needed a bun!!!!!!! We even did this with the free dining last year. The first lunch, all 4 of us ordered 4 meals. It was WAY too much food. DS and I went back to splitting meals, including double cheeseburgers.

I agree with the value of a dollar. There are so many ways to spend $ and so many ways to save it. I grew up with thrifty parents. I learned ways to constantly save money. That's probably why I will never drive an SUV (flame me now). The $ I save driving my Honda 24,000 miles a year, over driving an SUV at these gas prices, should pay for my next Disney vacation.

I think the reason I like Disney so much is its a great value for your vacation dollar.

I agree completely. Unfortunately from this thread it appears there is a class system even at Disney....People should not assume that just because you stay at a value resort that it's because it's all you can afford. Conversely, many people at moderate and deluxe resorts CAN'T afford it but choose to pay the prices anyway. Either way it's a personal choice. For those of you posting with really self righteous comments about the "under class", here's a great idea--if you've got money to burn why don't you spread some pixie dust with the pool hoppin', cheeseburger sharin', fixin grabbin', mug sharin' folk...THEN YOU CAN FEEL EVEN BETTER ABOUT YOURSELF!
