Last week we were in World Showcase at Epcot and decided to get some yummy nachos from the counter service place in Mexico. We had eaten there before and found a table easily but this time it was about 7pm and all the tables were full. We wondered if we should even order but decided to try. Half the tables were taken up by one person not eating. The line to order food was very short so it seemed they weren't waiting for food. We wandered around with our tray for a while looking at these people but never found a table. We ended up taking our tray and food down to Norway and sat in the tables outside the bakery to eat. We wondered if Mexico was full because people were just waiting for Illuminations. If so, you'd think the restaurant would discourage that- sitting there without eating just to watch the show. This was our first visit so we have no idea about the traffic patterns. Is this typical?
And yes, we did walk all the way back to Mexico to return the tray and the basket.
