Hi, I am a new poster but have had lots of useful info from you guys, so thanks!

We had our first time in DLP recently in May and it was fab but we were unfortunately affected by the character strike. We didn't know what the problem was at the time. So we missed the main street parade and stars and cars.

We feel we have unfinished business so are looking at another trip! We are looking at March next year, I know the actual schdules are not available for aaaaages but I have read that before there had been no parades in March as the new ones start in April/May.

Just wondered if there was any truth in what I have read?? Does anybody know??

there is always (barring strike action, as you found out yourself) a daily parade in the main park, and unless stars n cars is folding completely, that will be on in the studios park as well.

anything specifically 20th anniversary (so for example, the character train) may not be happening in March, but apart from that, it will be business as usual at DLP.

There are however, often more ride closures in the period January to March each year, for refurbs/maintenance etc.

Ah thank you so much for your help. It is so hard to know what to do for the best with so much pressure not to take the kids out of school but I refuse to go in the holidays. The March prices are cheaper with the current offers... decisions....decisions...

midweek its usually 7pm for the main park, 6pm for the studios. at the weekends the main park may be a 9pm or 10pm close.

check school holidays for France for March next year - I believe until 18th French schools have holidays, so that would make the parks busier.

We went March this year. Stars n cars was on every afternoon in the studiod and the main parade around 5 in the main park. We were there early march and it was busy so ive booked today for 18th march next year so should be much quieter.

Yes thank you, I had looked at the french hols. They are hard to avoid as they are so spread out aren't they! Kel0709 what was the weather like when you went?

It wasn't great it was quite cold, needed hats and gloves in the mornings but we were out for 8 each morning. Usually got warmer around lunch time but still quite cold and it rained a few times but we found plenty to do out of the rain. It didnt put us off, we just went prepared for it. and the kids 2 and 4 weren't bothered by it either.
