Do only Adults play VMK?!

I am one of the "ancient" ones. When I joined VMK I had intended to buddy around with mostly adults....I know that I just about fell out of my chair when I discovered that some of my fellow Spam Angels were teens (Heart you Fly, Fish Face, and Incredible!). These three dudes are awesome "kids", and I am glad to have them on my friends list!

Yeah, I'm a teen...but I find that I hang with the "Old and Lame Club" much more than VMK's younger population. I think my sense of humor matches theirs much better.

Anyways, the VAST majority of players are kids. I mean look at the Fan Site and sit in a public area of VMK for a little while. The people who aren't talking without internet abbreviations and are asking people if they're "taken" probably aren't adults. And when most of VMK is full of people asking silly, frivolous things...and not deciding how to eat their Spam...you have a very young playing population.

I have also found that most of the young kids are very irresponsible.Kids seem to like to be all rude to other people.

I am too old to mention my age but I have two sons that play VMK regularly - DarthJordan is 13 and PhantomofB is 8.

I think if you frequent the DIS boards, you will naturally come across more adults than kids because this is a Disney trip planning message board which is more geared towards adults (since they are the ones that plan the trips! Lol!)

But on the actual VMK game, I think there are a FAR GREATER number of kids than there are adults playing....

I'm an adult who is loud and proud about being a Disney maniac, and I love playing VMK. Being that I'm pretty much a kid myself when it comes to all things Disney, I don't think too much about what I say on VMK. I usually only chat when I'm looking to trade anyway.

And don't be surprised that so many of us are grown-ups. Disney may say that VMK is designed for kids, but they are fully aware of the vast numbers of adults like us who will see, buy or play anything Disney. I think they are designing the site with kids and adults in mind, especially with the number of adults without children who are going on VMK Insider tours. We were on the tour a couple of weeks ago (we don't have kids), and there were 2 kids in a group of 16!!!

I am an adult Disney lover, and started playing vmk back in June. It didn't take long before my DS (15) wanted to play.

He has been asking, quite a few times, to become an active DISer, so I may have to 'give in' soon! So, our house has both aduld and child players.

I would like to thank the DISers that happened to spot my son ILikeCheeze, and friend him, this past weekend. He finally had two whole days to play as I was just too busy to get on. He also met some more DIS kids too.

Oh, and thank you to all the DIS kids that have friended with me. I do so love this "second childhood" of play!

I think everyone in VMK is younger than me! But I have friends of all ages in VMK. I have met so many wonderful, fun, caring ppl in VMK. VMK offers me the opportunity to be a kid again, and I love being able to act silly and enjoy chatting with other "Disney Crazies." I am so hooked on VMK... I think about it way too much! I am always very careful when talking to kids and especially steer clear of the "taken" thing. Most of the kids who are my friends are very clever and so much fun.

I'm old enough to know who Jabba-Jaw and Grape-Ape is.

And while VMK is formatted to appeal to younger crowds, it takes someone of mature intelligence to master alot of their games. And of course, maturity comes after time.

When I first played Blast In Space and kept getting further and further in the game, I couldn't help but feel really bad for the younger crowds who will never beat this game, and probably have a heart attack after trying.. or a broken mouse/monitor.

We are all universal in age on VMK. When people ask my age or try to tell me theirs, I either stop them, or remove them from my list and disappear, for being able to play the game is more important to me than what people say or think.

This age thing is so funny. There are a lot of kids playing, it's just hard to tell sometimes. I think the adults think I'm an adult, and the kids think I'm a kid. lol You just never know. I just enjoy talking to people and making friends no matter how big or little they are! Am I a kid or and adult? hmm...lol
