I called Orange Vacations to ask about the Loews First program and if the benefits from this program would be applicable if I booked through them. The lady told me yes and I told her I didnt see where you add that to the reservation info online and she said to give her the # and she would apply it to our reservation. A few days later I thought I should call and check with Royal Pacific to make sure it was on my account and they then told me that I would not get the benefits of the program because I booked elsewhere. Well I realize I should have known this but I didnt. I called Orange Vacations & told them I wanted to cancel my reservation because they gave me info that was not correct. I spoke to the owner who was very rude and told me that he didnt care what his employee told me that I would have to pay the cancellation fees regardless. I tried to explain to him very nicely that if she had given me correct information or even just said "I don't know" then I would have made a different decision instead of going ahead and booking at that moment. I think he handled the situation very poorly and to think that they dont even stand behind what their employee say is very scary to me. Whatever happened to treating the customer right. He didnt even try to remedy the situation in any way but just basically told me too bad and that he could not help me and that if I cancelled I would have to pay the $50 which their cancellation policy does state that you may be subject to a cancellation fee but given the circumstances I would think this would be different. He didnt think so and apparently someones word means nothing to him so I would think twice about using them even if it is a few dollars cheaper.

I would not give up. I would definitely ask for contact numbers for higher emps. or owners in this company. Keep firing off emailsuntil someoen responds. Did you ask your credit card company if they could help? Sometimes if they dispute a charge for you it will work also.

Thanks for the support. I did ask for a supv and he said I am the supv so I asked for a manager then the owner and this guy claimed to be all. So I did file a dispute with my credit card company. I thought it was interesting to note that when I received the confirmation of my cancellation that the standard language states "Our reservation staff will advise you if cancellation charges are applicable" which tells me they have the ability to make this decision on an as needed basis. I just really felt this guy was rude and didnt care what happened he was not going to help me out. He just kept telling me he didnt care what his employee promised as that was not his policy and not his problem. I just dont want anyone else to be in the same situation. I initially called them because the rates were $30 cheaper per night than US website but it is not worth it. I will never do that again.

hang in there ..........

dispute the entire bill with your cc company.

contact BBB and file a complaint
contact the orlando tourist association and file a complaint.

send more emails and save what he responds with.

google the place and find an owner's name.
at this point, go to the top of the company if need be.

be sure to keep notes of when you called and whom you talked with.
you will need that when you do the written part of the cc dispute.

keep us posted and thanks for the heads up on this company
