Do Not Use Drugstore.com For Seasafe

Just wanted to share my experience (unpleasent) with drugstore.com. Two days ago ordered SeaSafe for my cruise. I paid $30.00 for overnight shipping. We are leaving for the airport in 1 hour and they sent it 2 day air. Needless to say we won't have our SeaSafe for our trip. They offered nothing in terms of a refund.

I am posting this because I don't want to see anyone else fall prey to this issue.

I think it's for sea lice. There should be a whole thread for it above.....

Sorry to hear they messed up your shipping. I ordered from them and paid for regular shipping, and they were prompt and courteous. I also had heard that some people who ordered Sea Safe elsewhere received bottles that were expired. I was worried about this, but my 2 bottles from drugstore.com are both marked 2005. If someone will be around to take delivery for you (assuming it's UPS or Fed-X), they could refuse the shipment and make the carrier take the shipment back. You can also call your credit card company and tell them not to pay for this order- tell them you're in dispute with the company. If you paid for overnight shipping and didn't receive it overnight, then they should refund you for at least some of the cost or let you return the product.

I just tried ordering it direct and when I clicked on the order button it told me that the page was no longer valid or something like that and directed me to another site. Well that site had swimsuits and no Seasafe. Anyplace else to order?

I have been told that Ron Jons Surf Shop in Cocoa Beach/Port Canaveral sells Sea Safe. That is where I'll be checking before I board the Magic next Saturday! We have a rental car so it should be easy to get to. :)

CB4U- Please let us know for sure if cocoa beach Ron Jons sells the product. We will be cruising in about a month and would like to buy it there.

We ordered from them, got expired bottles (it was one kind only, and a bunch of people got them...I think they simply didn't notice that one entire batch was out of date). I contacted them, got a response, and they sent it out overnight mail to get to me in time for our cruise.

I ordered a basket from Shirely at The Perfect Gift and I asked her to put a bottle of safesea in the basket.

April,
I'm getting a basket in the room, the REAS basket, can Disney put seasafe in there? I was told that it was the same as bonin & they offer that on the ship... how much is it on the ship & why are people going nuts for seasafe if it's the same?

We are leaving for the 4/17 MAGIC cruise tomorrow, but don't plan on going into Ron Jon's until after we return. I'll let you know if they carry it. Last November, they weren't stocking it, but Sea Lice is a seasonal thing ( Spring mostly for FL ) so maybe they will have it again.

I got our at Lifestyles Direct- the tan thru bathing suit site. Here's the link: http://www.lifestylesdirect.com/bodyservice.cfm?cfid=3833651&cftoken=42828598&ct=3 It's listed under body service items.

They carry it SPF 0, 15 , 30 & kids too- that's new! Got current bottles- 2005 exp date & delivery was quick.

Princess49- Seasafe is for sea lice prevention- not sea sickness. They do have dramameine & bonine on the ship but it is expensive. Pick some up before you go.

Hope this helps!

It takes you to lifestylesdirect.com I think, which sells the Tan Thru bathing suits, but they also sell Sea Safe (I got mine from them, and they weren't expired) :) If you look on their home page, on the right side there's a little box that says "other products" or something and "body service products" that's where you'd click for Sea Safe.

mfr webpage refers you to the swim suit co, but they do sell the stuff as the mrf rep. Ordered some earlier this week.

I got ours from Lifestyles too and they were great!!!! I would do business with them again.

Well, we ordered Seasafe from drugstore.com because there was no shipping charge (current special) compared to the mfg site which charges sh&h.

And, bonine/non-drowy dramamine is available free-of-charge from a dispenser outside the medical center on board the ship (deck 1).

I didn't see a dispenser there in March although I have heard others talk about it. Bring some just to be on the safe side.

Ron Jon was not carrying SafeSea when I called them last month and neither was the local Walgreens.

We ended up buying it from a dive shop in Key West that was on Green Street (?). Price was good and they had plenty of it.

Oops...penny just dropped for me; I didn't order from drugstore.com but direct from safesea.net; they were the ones who offered good customer service. I went in on it with a friend, and using a coupon code I found at currentcodes.com, we were able to get 3 bottles for about $25 with no shipping.

Any idea on the turnaround time for standard shipping when ordering from drugstore.com?
