Do NOT go to Alfredo's

I had the caprese salad. Both were VERY good - I especially liked they homemade mozzerella.

We had the caprese salad with homemade mozzerella as well. Very good.

We ate at Alfredo's on Sept. 1 for lunch for the first time and were on the free dinning plan. The service was outstanding-we were there first thing for lunch. The waiter was polite and dare I say it, very sweet (Patrick). DM and I both had the alfredo, which was the best I had ever had. We both agreed we would return here with or without the dinning plan.

You know, I have read about one too many bad reviews on this place, so I changed to plan to LeCellier for lunch. Let's just hope that I can get it. Maggie

Myself I loved the food esp the Alfredo Fettcine but I do agree tables much to close together and the service sucks. We also found this meal very very noisy in general it would be to noisy for us.

We had the pleasure of having a toddler seated not an elbows lenght from us who was allowed to throw baby bottles and food at us for almost 2 hours while that is better than someone puking at table it was still very annoying.

We were just there in May and had a great experience. We got lots of attention (our 8mo daughter got even more). There were a lot of tables in there but never felt like we were stacked ontop of each other ?

Anyone ever been to Italy ? This is the way they dine.

I can't speak for the other foods but the Alfredo alone is what will keep me coming back !!

We've eaten there 2x and the food is good, not great, not bad, just good.

We did have good service but I suspect that was due to the fact that we were there with my in-laws, who along with DH, were born in Sicily and could speak to the waiter in Italian, which we all got a kick out of. Probably accounted for the better service.

I told my husband later that the service just about reminded me of that Saturday Night Live Skit with Kirstie Alley in the Italian Restaurant!

Honestly, our meal at Alfredo's was much better than LeCellier. There was just nothing special about that place for us.

Looks like I am in the minority. I agree the tables are close together. But, I love the fettucini alfredo and DH and I go there every trip. (Sometimes, twice a trip). My DH always orders calamari as an appetizer and says it is wonderful (I hate calamari, so I can't comment). My salad is always fresh & tasty. We both have the fettucini so we can't comment on any of the other entrees. Service has always been very good; the waiters have never been anything other than polite. I am looking forward to my fettucini in November.

Well on the Allears website the reviews for Alfredo are 8 good - 2 bad. I've got reserv. there and are gonna keep them.

One question I have is that someone on the review mentioned eating outside for lunch?? What about for dinner???

I agree that this restaurant is like an overpriced Olive Garden. In 2003 we were on the gold plan so we did TS for every meal. Alfredo's and Tony's were the ONLY 2 that stunk. The service was not that great at Alfredo's-kind of cold. The food was not very good either.

From now on if we want Italian at WDW we will eat at PYC in Pleasure Island. I have never had a bad meal there. :)

I saw people dining outside for dinner when we visited.

I wish Olive Garden's food was as good as Alfredo's. :teeth:

It has been a few years since we have tried Alfredo's. We tried it and it was bad but like most figured that we may have been unfortunate and hit them on a bad day. So we went two more times and bad both times. Sorry, three strikes, y'er out!

As far as crowded I guess the tables are a little cozy but we expect a theme park restaurant to be a little busier as we also expect the cost to be a little higher. In our case though we experienced poor food quality and poor service basically all three times. Funny that the only other restaurant that we have been to that was also poor was Tony's in MK?

We have never had this experience at any other Disney restaurant(and believe me we've ate at them ALL!) and have returned to to all others.

I don't know why or what else to say but this is just one restaurant that has been bad for us??? Maybe we just unluckily hit it on three bad days over the years but as our vacation time and $$$ is precious to us we have decided not to chance it again there for some time.

We ate at Alfredo's in August and it was very nice meal. We had excellent service (drinks refilled without asking/additional bread). The soup of the day (bean) was delicious and we all had the veal piccata. The veal was very tender and prepared very well. The veal chop at the table next to us looked great too. The kids liked the singing and the napkin twirling. After the meal we were glad we gave Alredo's a try - it was expensive but if you're on the dining plan it's worth giving it a try.

We used to eat at Alfredo's a lot (every trip). However, while the food was good (albeit a little overpriced even for WDW) and we enjoyed the atmosphere, we started getting really disappointed with the service. We just didn't feel like it was on a par with the same great service we could get elsewhere on property.

We ate there in February 2005 and really enjoyed the food. Yes...it is a little pricey and yes....it is a little crowded but we did not find the wait staff rude or slow. DD feel asleep at her seat (long day) and our waiter brought over some folded napkins to make a pillow for her to place her head.

My DH can't wait to go back and take his parents this trip. I hope they won't be disappointed.

I don't think there is another restaurant at WDW that is so split as to it's being good or bad!! There is always an argument waging about it. But, here's our experience....dd and I went by ourselves in 2003, Dec. It was a last minute choice and we just walked in on a whim. It was about 5ish and we were seated quickly, in the way back room. It was very quiet for quite awhile, until it got a bit later and the room started filling. But, the food was good and our waitress very nice and always available. I just had a hard time understanding her at times but that wasn't her fault.
So, fast forward to Aug 04. Dh is with us and we had made PS, since dd and I had enjoyed Alfredo's so much. Totally different experience this time. We were seated almost on top of another table. The tables did seem quite a bit closer this time...although I did get lost trying to get out of the restaurant on my first trip because of so many tables. Our server, Rudy, was almost non-existent. He brought us water, which we had requested, then disappeared for almost half an hour. Finally came back and took our order, making us feel like we were preventing him from doing something more important. Then, didn't see him, or our food, for 45 minutes!!! By the time the food got to us, the normally delicious fettucine was like paste. Evidently, Rudy had already been spoken to by a manager, because when this manager stopped by our table to see how things were, we mentioned the coldness of our dinners. He rolled his eyes and off he went in search of Rudy. At least 5 times during that meal did we hear him hollering for Rudy!!! And not on our behalf....evidently Rudy was having issues with all his tables.
So, would I go again? I don't know. We love Italian food but there are so many other terrific places to eat and where we have had good experiences every time that I hesitate to go back to Alfredo's again. Maybe in Nov I'll give it shot by myself. It's too bad because it is a beautiful setting.

I also had reservations for Alfredo's I made 80 days ago. All Ears reviews say it is great, and I was so excited about eating there. Then I read these reviews and finally decided to change my reservations. It boiled down to: All Ears reviews were old. There are no current reviews since the free dining plan came out. I believe that Alfredos used to be excellent, last year, but now, because of the dining plan they may have changed, Alfredos is expensive, and originally didn't want to even be on the dining plan. They used to make lots of money at dinner, now most people are using the plan and getting free dinner. I think that
probably has alot to do with it. It was so hard to find something else yesterday though, being only 10 days away. Everything was booked, or really late for our party size of 6. We ended up making reservations for Rose and Crown and Garden Grill. It will be great, no matter where we eat!!! pirate:

We were at Alfredo's 2 weeks ago. Also ate at Chefs de France. From what we could see, the "free" dining is stressing the World Showcase restaurants at dinner quite a bit. Funny thing, too, they are all empty at lunch -- obviously everyone is crowding into these places at dinner in order to get the maximum from their TS credits.

I think reviews posted during the "free" dining promotion are pretty useless in determining what the restaurants will be like once "free" dining has mercifully ended!

We've switched our Epcot eating habits to lunch of late -- it's easier to get seated and it's cheaper than at dinner.
