I've tried to make a reservation online several times now and the reservation page will not accept my information. (Specifically the name of my airline) In frustration I called their "Mears Connect" phone number and asked the representative who answered to help me over the phone. She tried... but was also unable to get the computer to accept the information. She then admitted that they have been getting a lot of calls with this issue and didn't have any further suggestions!!? So heads up everyone...Do NOT count on Mears Connect.

I had the same issue. Would not accept Southwest as an airline. Turned out for me it was a browser issue at the time. Switched to Another and it worked fine.
Thanks, I'll try that but considering the fact that the Mears Connect Customer Service Agent was unable to book my reservation from her end, I'm not very hopeful. She admitted that they have no idea why it's not working!:confused3

Since they don't handle luggage is the airline rally important?

Example: We're landing at 10AM on a Southwest flight. But we put a Delta delta flight in the drop down menu that lands at 9:45AM. When we get to the counter will they deny us a bus to the resort?

It's just as likely they are using a wrb based service for this and could have been using the same browser. I've worked places where you used browser a for all but this one thing that only works in browser b. They may not know that would fix it.

I have Mears booked for next weekend. We're flying southwest and the website found it just fine. Took me a minute to get the airline code right since it's not SW... i think it's WV. We booked the express, and had no issues.

They probably ask for the flight information for dispatch purposes. Knowing X amount of pax are arriving at a particular time so they have to schedule so many buses.

The service picking us up also asked for the flight information, was advised it helps them with identifying if your flight is delayed.

So me and hubby are flying delta and had Mears reservations then my mom decided to come with but her flight comes in an hour earlier. She wants to just hang at the airport and catch the shuttle with us so Mears told me to put in MY flight information for HER Mears reservation so all the times match. So I don't THINK airline matters much.

If that makes a difference on their site, the code for Southwest is WN. (I think of it as backwards and opposite of southwest, as in - it's Northwest (NW), but backwards (WN).)

That's what I think, too. They are looking at times, not specific airlines.

I had the same issue with their website. I tried typing my airline in and choosing it from their dropdown box and neither worked. I booked with Sunshine Flyer instead (for a trip in March). It was significantly easier and less frustrating.

Scheduled my reservation with no issues. Hopefully that continues when we get there.

I had trouble entering Southwest at first. When I typed Southwest in the box, it pulled up a couple of options in the drop box below. I couldn't select any of those with the curser, however, if I used my down arrow key, it would select the airline. Then I could hit enter to keep it in the box. Not sure if it was my browser or not. Totally frustrating until I figured it out.

I was having discussion with a friend are you guys using the bus system because you enjoyed magical express so much or do you just enjoy going on the bus my argument was that no one likes taking a bus there and will now use Lyft Uber or Rent-A-Car.

I’m planning to use the bus system because I’m a solo traveler and I don’t like ride share services, and I’m certainly not going to waste money driving to and from the airport just to pay parking for the car sit at the resort all week.

The answer is simple really...I liked the Magical Express because it made the logistics easier and it was free! I'm quite sure that nobody loves riding the bus but busses are very much a part of the transportation system at WDW. I do use Uber/Lyft to get to/from my hometown airport but prefer the shuttle option at MCO.

We stopped using the buses when ride shares became available several years ago. Don't have/use them at home but when we come to Orlando???? we use them a lot. The convenience is worth the cost and then some to us. We often use them in the mornings to get to the parks, too - vs. waiting for buses. But - we don't have little kids or need to schlep car seats or strollers so that makes it easy for us to do what is convenient for 2 adults.
