Do not be late!

I was late with a payment ... (2 days) .. Paided off the entire balance. I am going to Disney tomorrow and they have locked ALL my rewards dollars and will not let me transfer the dollars to my reward card until I recieve my next statement....

This means all the dollars I have accrued I can not use for my trip!

Here is what it states in the terms and conditions:
"5. Under certain circumstances you may not
be able to use or will not receive or may permanently forfeit the Disney Dream Reward DollarsSM in
your Program Rewards Balance. For example, (a) If you are late making your minimum monthly
payment for any month as indicated on your monthly billing statement, the number of Disney Dream
Reward DollarsSM you have earned that month will accrue, but will not be available to you for use
and will not post to your Program Rewards Balance unless and until you pay any past due amount
and pay your current minimum monthly payment by the payment due date."

So even though my current minimum monthly payment is "$0.00" according to the website. They still will not let me access the "Reward Dollars" until my next statement.

Unfortunately, the Disney Visa people are very rigid in my experience. Most cardholders do not like the card and the way the rewards are managed. I'm so sorry you can't use your Reward Dollars. Maybe call Customer Service and plead your case again? It has never worked for me but some folks have had the (rare) good fortune to get a helpful customer service rep. Good luck to you!

Have you called them? I had a problem with a late charge on my card recently even though I had paid what I thought was more than the minimum amount on balance. It turned out that even though there had been a "credit" on the account for a returned item, that doesn't count towards your monthly payment in BankOne's eyes.

I called and spoke to a BankOne customer rep who sypathized with me over the outrageous "late fee" for what amounted to a difference of $15 that was more than covered by the return credit. She took the late fee off my account with no problems. You might be able to get them to release the hold on your rewards dollars if you call and explain the situation.

I think I'll start using my rewards to purchase tickets and such so I don't have them sitting on the card. Thanks for the tip!
