I know TS has a single rider, but I wasn't sure about the FP.

Thanks! :thumbsup2

No, they don't. Only the Single Rider line for TSM.

well shoot... :(
Ok, that means Nemo is a MM ride and TS we will just have to wait in line then.
Thank you!

We went on Nemo on a Monday and were not first in line to enter DL, but close to the front. We went straight to Nemo and got through the line before 8:30. So not a long wait at that time.

We also got in line 13 to enter DL because line 14 has a tree in front of it so people from 13 also went over to 14 making the 13 line go faster. On Wed. line 14 wasn't open for some reason.

If you can find TSMM with a line time of 45 minutes or less, it is well worth the wait. Awesome ride! Just make sure you have a FP for something else before you get in line.

Another option is to ask to use the "Marine Observation Outpost", which is a room that accommodates those who can't or won't ride the submarine (e.g. claustrophobic, knee that makes the spiral staircase difficult, wheelchair bound, etc). It has limited seating, a large high-def screen, and you see the whole 15-minute show. Just ask the Nemo CM's about it and they'll direct you, no questions asked. I'd still recommend taking the sub if you can do it, but the MOO is a good backup plan.

Nope, no FP for either attraction.

If you are willing to do the rather barbaric race for Nemo in the morning at opening, you can get on the ride in under 15 minutes usually (I have done this a lot). I recommend this tactic because even though it is a 15-minute ride and is really entertaining... it's not exactly something you want to do over and over again in the day. Ride it once first thing, and then head to Space Mountain. And whenever you see short lines for them again during your stay, take advantage.

I have not been on TSMM yet, but I don't enjoy shooting-game type rides so I probably won't ever do it anyway... I've never been on the Astro Blasters in DL either.
Good thing about DCA is single rider lines. You'll only be separated for the duration of the ride and it can really save you time.

I cannot wait for my dd to be old enough for us to make use of the single rider lines at DCA!!! These are really a hidden gem -- they save so much time.

If you want to, you can do both rides in one morning. Here's how:

Be at the security tables 1 hour before park opening (6 am for MM, 7 am for regular day). Send everyone without a bag through security first, then one person remains behind for bag check. Have the people who run through line up at the DL gates. Have everyone line up at a different gate because they are not all open, and they don't tell you for a few minutes which ones will be open and which ones won't.

When the park opens, run/walk as fast as you can to Nemo. You can send one fastpass runner to Space Mountain to pick up fastpasses if you want. They will be able to make it onto Nemo even if you are at the front of the line. Even with 2 small kids, we were on the first Nemo sub leaving at 8:15 am, SM fastpasses in hand.

After Nemo, do whatever you want until 8:45 am. If you did Nemo on a non-MM day, this is immediately after you disembark Nemo.

Go to the Grand Californian entry to DCA. The line for TSMM starts RIGHT IN FRONT of this entrance, so it is a HUGE advantage to be there.

Again, have the people without bags enter before the last person with the bags for security check. They will let you into DCA at 9:30 am. Have the first people entering jump into the TSMM line that is in front of the Grand Californian entrance.

Once the person with the bags joins the TSMM line, have your fastpass runner go to Soarin' and pick up Soaring' fastpasses. Sometimes they give them out at 9:30 am, sometimes not. It's worth checking.

At about 9:45 am the TSMM line moves SLOWLY forward and stops just behind Grizzly River Run. Even if your Soarin' fastpasses person isn't back yet, the line moves slowly and stops again, so they should easily be able to catch up with you.

At 9:55 am, the TSMM line moves again and walks across the bridge to Paradise Pier, and onto the TSMM line. We were the third group in line and were off of TSMM by 10:15 am. Perfect timing for getting on California Screamin'. ;) After that you should hopefully be able to pick up another set of fastpasses (and also Grizzly River Run fastpasses since it is disconnected) and you can head to whatever other big rides you like (such as Tower of Terror).

We did the Nemo thing once and the TSMM thing twice. It works!

WOW!!
Talk about planning... :thumbsup2
Thanks for the tip. I'll try to do the GC entrance thing in the morning and see if they'll let me in. We're staying at PP not GC. Hopefully they don't yell at me... Thanks again!

We stayed at Paradise Pier and had no trouble getting in through the Grand Californian private entrance. You just have to bring the little slip of paper they give you at check in, that proves you're a Disneyland Resort guest.

So now I'm going in Feb. Is this plan still working out there? Is it needed? I remember when Monster's opened it was CRAZY long to get on and now you can just walk on? Has anyone been lately (2009) NOT on a holiday or special time where the line is just 'normal'?

We were just there Jan 31 - Feb 3rd and when we went to DCA, they did not do a specific line for TSMM, so when the rope dropped near GRR people walked fast (they told people not to run) to get over there. That is where everyone was heading. We probably had about 10 people in front of us and got on right away.

I have not been on TSMM yet, but I don't enjoy shooting-game type rides so I probably won't ever do it anyway... I've never been on the Astro Blasters in DL either.

If you still haven't been...please go on TSMM. The "shooting" isn't only like shooting the blasters on Buzz, it's varied and interesting. Like in one game, you're "shooting" rings out to land on aliens and objects...in another you're "throwing" darts. And so on. :)

Where is TS located? I know I could look at a map, but that is no fun...which way to get there fastest? Thanks! How bad is the Nemo line still?

TSMM is located right next to California Screamin's entrance. The fastest way from the exit is straight down the parade route/the path to A Bug's Land and Paradise Pier. Then take a left and there are a ton of construction walls around there, but you will need to cross the Paradise Pier bridge and follow it from there.

Nemo's line can be bad during busy times, but it has definitely died down quite a bit since 2 years ago.

SWEET!!! I was there the first day Nemo opened, but the line was 4 hours...PASS...since I go every year, I knew the time would come! Thanks!
