We are going to CSR in a few weeks. The pool slide will be closed, but it's too late for us to switch to our second choice. The kids were really excited about the slide! Super excited!
I am wondering if they resorts give passes to go swim at other resorts when their pools are under construction.

Had we known the waterslides were going to be down, we would have booked at Wilderness Lodge back when we had a chance!
Anyone know?

I've heard of BC/YC guests being able to use the BW pool, and Polynesian Guests being able to use the GF pool (and vice Versa) when pools were being repaired, but they are within walking distance. I'm not sure where CSR guests would be able to reasonably go. The All Stars are the closest resorts, and they aren't walking distance, plus they don't have slides.

My guess is that you won't be given access to another resorts pools. Sorry.

Bummer :(. Did you try to change your reservation to another moderate? My DD would be very disappointed if the pool slide was closed!

How did you find out the slide would be closed? I am going in January and that may change my mind about this resort.

According to Deb Wills site the slide will be closed from 11/26-12/14 so you will be fine in January.

I'm not sure if I'm remembering correctly, but didn't they offer the CR pool as an alternative for WL guests when their pool was down? I believe they had a shuttle bus for them as well. So, it wouldn't necessarily have to be within walking distance.

Thanks - hopefully its not like SSE and extended into February.

I thought it was the FW pool, but I could defuniteky be wrong.

When I made my res. the CM asked me if I wanted To get a different resort because the slide was closed. So I was warned before I booked my room. I'm to accustomed To my FL climate to swim in Dec., so it's not a problem for me.

I think it depends on whether the pool being repaired is the only pool. If there are quiet pools at the resort, they would be less likely to allow you to swim elsewhere. I don't remember being allowed to swim elsewhere when they took out the old CR pool and put in the new one with the slide. We just had to use the round pool by the marina.

I'm glad that you knew in advance. I appears that the OP did not which is now the problem. I would say that for most of us going being in Florida is part of the vacation. Especially in December when home is sub-zero. Brrrr! You your bippy that we swim in December, LOL!

Keep trying to change your ressie. No sense in going somewhere you don't want to be or won't enjoy without a slide.

They did give the CR resort as an option for WL guests in March. It was too cool for us this March to swim though.
