Do men really wear Crocs?

Well my DH wants to know if real men really wear Crocs. He is looking for a comfortable alternative to his running sneakers for our August trip. Just doesn't want to do the socks and sneaker thing in the heat and the soggy shoes after water rides. His Birkenstocks just don't cut it after all of that walking for some reason. My sister swears by Crocs for Disney but he wants to know if "real men" wear them. :rotfl:

I've seen a few men wear them. I was hanging with some guys (14-17 old) and they said, "no way, that would make me gay." No offense was intended.

I've seen plenty of men wearing them. Who cares what anyone else thinks (especially 14-17 year olds). He should try them and if he likes them he should wear them.

My DH has 3 pairs and he's as real as they come. Think big burly hairy & scary. It's funny though because he's a very gentle and kind soul, he just looks like a bad***. DH has three pairs of crocs. He started conservative with forest green, then he broke down and got banana yellow and his last pair was in homage to the Disboards, lime green. Crocs will be great for your DH you can do them sockless and then ride the water rides and they dry almost instantaneously. Also, they are easy to slip off when you go on Soarin' which is also a wonderful experience.

last time I checked I was a real man and I wear them I do wear socks in them though .

Dh made fun of me and DD because of our Crocs. I bought him a black pair (just fo rhim to wear in the hotel on his upcoming UK trip)...He loves them. He does wear them with socks though. I think it is so funny that he made fun of them and now he loves the comfort of them! He is over in the UK for soccer so my vote it YES real men do wear crocs. :thumbsup2

I tried to buy a pair of the Airwalks ( payless crocs) but couldn't find the style and size I wanted.

I have several Good pairs of watershoes ( northface , teva , ecco, solomons) but really wanted something more open for the waterparks mostly.
I don't like to wear sandles around crowds and get my toes stepped on.
So I picked up a pair of KEENS.

I think I wore them everyday almost all day and I never wear a pair of shoes 2 days in a row but they were just perfect for the parks ,the heat, the rain, and all the walking.

I would get the Crocs if they had some designs on them but plain is just not me . If people are going to make fun of me for wearing anything then let them I don't really care.

It took me a few months, but I finally convinced my very masculine DH to buy a pair of Crocs. He's got basic black, but he adores them. He wears them constantly (even though they were originally going to be his WDW shoes only.. ha! :teeth: ) and he says they're the "ultimate lazy man's shoe." :rotfl:

Payless Shoe Stores carries Airwalks men's clog styles in black, navy and brown. I bought a pair of the men's black sandal style (I am a woman) because I didn't want to wear the bright orange ladies clogs (they seem to fly off the shelves here and orange is usually the only woman's color left!) It took a few wearings to get used to them, but once my feet "molded" to them, they are great...perfect for walking long distances and standing in long lines! :cloud9:

My husband, a "real man" cop tried Crocs at my urging and loves them. He stuck to the basic black and swears that he would never wear any of the bright colors. Also, he says he would never wear them with socks, but they are so comfortable and now so many people are wearing them, that he is perfectly comfortable. A few of his buddies made fun of him at first, but now, even some of the teasers are wearing them. At the end of a long day at WDW, you will be glad that you have such a comfortable and supportive shoe on!

"Real Men" don't care about what others might think of what they are wearing. :)

I broke down and bought a pair (tan) a couple of months ago. I think that I am going to get another pair before we go to WDW in September.

I have a pair of black Professionals (no holes in the top) that I wear to work everyday, and a pair of brown Caymans that I wear everywhere else. Looking forward to wearing my Caymans in WDW in a couple of months.

What's your definition of a real man? My dh is 6'3", a 5th degree black belt in Aikido, trains the SWAT team, does private investigation and personal protection work ... and loves his Crocs! ;) He has the dark brown ones ... they look great on him! :thumbsup2

Thanks everybody. I am going to have him read the replies and then go out and get him a "manly" black or brownish color to start. :thumbsup2 Thanks for the support.

I'm with some of the others, who cares what you look like if you like them. I have blue, red and just got a pair of lime green. And if some one thinks I look funny in them...who cares.

Since DH got his navy blue Crocs, he won't wear anything else except for when he is at work. No socks for DH either.
