ON our MK day we have our A&E FP at 6pm. My dds want to wear their A&e costumes when they meet the ladies. Should I have then wear the costumes all day or change right before our FP? Just not sure I want to schlep the costumed around with us all day. What do you guys normally do?

Do your r girls usually wear them all day at home? Mine always would out on dress up for a short while then tire of it, but I know kids who wear their dress up 24/7. Also depends on whether it will be real hot when you're there.

If it were my evening A&E, I'd probably bring the dresses, put them in a locker all day, then get them out for the meet and rest of the evening.

My DD was happy to wear her costume last year. However I would carry with you a really light spaghetti strap dress for them both. These will fold down into nearly nothing and that way they can change if they get too hot or the fabric become itchy.

This is what we do. My daughter will almost always wear her costume all day long, but there have been a few occasions where she complained of the dress itching her too much. I make sure to have a sundress in my bag just in case.

My kids wear their costumes all day long. They don't normally wear them at home at all. For some reason, they want to wear them all day at WDW so they are more willing to tolerate whatever comes with it....my one daughter complained every day this summer when we were at a park because she was too hot, except the days she wore that huge Elsa dress.

I would say it depends on the type of costume, the weather and the child. My DD8 was very gun-ho about wearing her Belle costume for the entirety of the 24 Hour Rock Your Disney Side event back in May. After our Fast Pass to meet Mickey (our 1st time!), the temperature felt like it shot up by 20 degrees! Then after we got through Main Street it went up another 10 and the poor thing looked so sad when she looked at her mom and I and asked "can I take it off".

Of course we weren't going to force her to wear it, we had brought a change of clothes and put on something much cooler.

If it was a lighter costume she might have toughed it out, but princess costumes very breathable, and the heat was unbearable that day.

All depends on the weather, but unless it is really hot she usually wears hers all day.

My DD did not, the year she wore hers to the park. It got too itchy.
I'd put them in a locker and bring them out to put on closer to your M&G time, if they have any scratchiness to them at all.

My daughter wore nothing but princess dresses. All day, every day, even when we got back to the room. Couldn't get her out if them. Totally depends on the kid
