Or is the apple sauce considered dessert??

TIA!
Sue

At every counter service we ate at the kids received a dessert even if there was applesauce and/or animal crackers included as part of their meal. At Sunshine Seasons a kids' dessert was limited to a few choices, otherwise it was what the adults got.

Many of the CS restaurants don't even have a kids menu. Most people seem to just order adult-sized meals for their kids at the CS since the cashiers never look at who's ordering or care. If you don't feel right about doing that, then I'd recommend opting for the CS places which don't offer a kids meal. You'll certainly get more value for your dollar there.

To answer your question directly, I personally didn't notice any CS restaurants that distinguished between kid's desserts and adult desserts, so the child will most likey be ordering from the adult dessert selection.

My kids got an adult dessert at CS for every meal.

Another option to consider...if you are too full after eating your meal, many places will give you a "voucher" for dessert. You can go back and get your dessert for a snack later in the afternoon.

I've seen you post this before.

There are many CS that we've never eaten at, but of the ones we have, the only one that I can think of that didn't have a kids menu was Caseys.

Could you please give some examples of others that don't have kids menus?

This would be GREAT......!!!

What CS restaurants give out vouchers so you can get a dessert later? I know the water parks do that for ice cream but do any of the others?

We ate at Cosmic Rays, Toy Story Pizza Planet, and Flame Tree BBQ.

Cosmic Rays had a kid's menu, but the portion was so huge that my adult meal fed all three of us!

I don't believe the other two places had kid's menus at all. If they did, I didn't see them and my kids were with me the whole time that I ordered. I know that there were a bunch of other places (which we didn't eat at) that didn't have kid's menus when I looked at their menus.

Flame tree does have a kids menu.

I have not seen any different offerrings for dessert at any CS places for children vs adults.

So do you just ask if they'll give you a voucher for dessert when ordering?

You're right about Pizza Planet - no kids menu, at least on allears.

According to allears, there are actually very few CS places that don't have kids menus: Catalina Eddie's, Boulangerie Patisserie, Sommerfest, Lunching Pad, Main St. Bake Shop.
