do it yourself dining reservations

on DVC phone message it said that we can make dining reservations online. Has anyone done this, and can you tell me how? What website did you go to. Any help would be appreciatied.

I did. You go to http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/

You first search for your resturants, check availability, and then make the reservation. Very easy. If you have your confirmation number, you can make all reservations at the 180 day+ 10 mark (so 180 days before your check-in, you can make reservations for up to 10 days - so really up to 190 days in advance if you have a 10 day stay).

I liked it because then I have a record of all my reservations and confirmation numbers.

I just used this service a few days ago for our upcoming Christmas trip. I loved it. When you call, it takes forever to go through all the phone prompts. The online option was very fast and I got my choices even at this late date. Go to disneyworld.com, go to Plan link (don't click, a drop menu will appear) at the top, then Dining Reservations.

I have to say I was skeptical but used the online system last week for our April trip and it was terrific! It's great to have the hard copy print out and not to have to worry about calling to double confirm. I even had to make a change already (cancel one and add another) and it was easy to do that as well - enjoy! I actually didn't even have to put a reservation number in at all which was weird but maybe they recognize me by my email address?

I used it with no problem. You need to go to the dining link, select a restaurant, click book a reservation and then retrieve your DVC reservation number on the date screen.

I had a good experience with the Online ADR system... it was nice being able to print confirmation right away.
