Has anyone used a Microdermabrasion kit and loved it...any brands that you recommend? I would like to try it out and was not sure what to buy!

I haven't tried them either but I have put my "order" in for the guys to get me one for Christmas-time. They have a kit at Wally World that I want to try...

Me too - I told my dh this as a hint...I saw Target had one as well....but I have no idea if it is any good!

I like the Neutrogena one a lot. It says 9 or 11 of its treatments are equivalent to one office procedure. It is microcrystals in a cream and a sponge pad that attaches to a vibrating holder.

I bought the one at Target (Spa something brand - not the Neutrogena brand that I wanted, they were out). It worked well and I really thought I could see a difference. Then, I made the mistake of leaving it in the shower (I wash my face in the shower mostly) and if I had read the instructions fully, I would have known that you're not supposed to get it wet. Bummer. So, now I'm debating about getting another one. I don't like to wash my face at the sink.

But in any case, it did work. I liked using it.

Has anyone come across coupons for the Neutrogena® Advanced Solutions™ At Home MicroDermabrasion System??

What exactly does the microdermabrasion do for your face?

I have minor adult acne, and am looking for a miracle cure :rotfl:

I've not tried it, I've only seen it in the store. I guess it cleans away surface skin and oils to help activate new skin growth....which is suppose to look younger and moister. Not unlike a gentle sander..... :rotfl:

I use the Mary Kay one and it really works... it is amazing it is making some of my "fine lines" go away.

FYI for my mild adult acne I use Proactiv....

I just realized I sound like a commercial :rotfl:

Yes, but they all look so pretty in those commercials! :flower:

I bought the Loreal dermabrasion kit on sale. haven't tried any others. Seems to work okay. I'm used to using St. Ives Apricot scrub. The Loreal has finer sized granules in a thicker paste than St Ives. But I've found if I just use twice as much of the St Ives than I normally do, so it mimics the amount of granules in the Loreal, & rub a bit longer, the effect is about the same. :confused3 St Ives is FOUR times less money, so I still save money, even using twice as much. :flower:

Maybe I'd get better results with the Neutrogena because of the dermabrasion applicator. :scratchin

I use the philosophy one and love it! Definitely worth the $$

I am just making the switch from Clinique to Mary Kay after being a bathroom model (they bring the products to your home and you try them out for 3 days). I am going to order the Timewise skin care tonight when my consultant comes to pick up the products. I was going to wait on the Microdermabrasion (even though it was in the bag, I didn't get a chance to try it). Should I go ahead and take the plunge and get the Microdermabrasion, too? My fine lines are just beginning to worry me a little and I also have large pores (I guess you'd call them large - I can see them).

Proactiv really does work! It was the only thing that worked for me! :teeth:

I got this for Christmas and I have used it three times since. I do like it a lot, just not sure if I would pay that much for it. Since it was a gift, it is great stuff!!! :thumbsup2
