If I have an AP, I can book a vacation package with a 1 day Magic Your Way Base ticket and the dining plan which will cover my dining for all 13 nights/14 days?

Contemplating buying an AP but the DP works so well for us. I have a 8 year old that likes the character interaction so for us... we clearly make out by using the dining plan. The price averages out to $46 or so a day... and there is no way to eat at WDW with one adult and one child for less than that on a daily basis and include lots of character meals!

Your feedback is appreciated. If I can change my current ressie to drop the 10 day parkhoppers and add the 1 day base only ticket, I can buy his AP at no cost. Then all I have to buy is mine and then we are set for a whole year! Woooo Hooo.... Do I understand this correctly? :woohoo:

Yes you do understand it correctly.

I would add that you can use the 1 day base ticket to upgrade to the AP. You could also do that with the parkhoppers.

Thanks! I didn't even think about upgrading as an option!
