Do I need waterproof make up for June at WDW?

Going the last half of June. I was thinking I should get waterproof mascara and eye liner because of the rain and humidity. Does anyone find this helpful or is it unnecessary? Suggesting I don't wear any at all isn't going to help because I have blonde hair, blue eyes, and light skin. If I don't wear any my eye become almost invisible especially in pictures. (Although it would be nice to not have to bother)

After visiting in July last year, waterproof mascara is on the top of my packing list for this summer for sure!!!

Unless you prefer the drowned raccoon look... ;)

We have been in July or August twice and are going again this summer. The BEST BEST BEST mascara I have ever found is Kiss Me by Blinc. You can rub your eyes and no smudges, you can cry (at fireworks...or is that just me? :) ) and you can swim and nothing. Its expensive, like $20, but worth every penny. In fact, its the only mascara I use now. (I also have blonde hair and green eyes)

Ok, thank you. I'll keep that brand in mind. I'll probably cry just arriving at our resort for the first time! :rotfl:

Where do you find that?

From a Southern Girl who gets the heat and humidity even at home, I highly recommend Bare Minerals original foundation, mineral veil, and sunscreen. I have even swam with full make up before and still ended up rubbing it off on my towel when drying because it didn't wash off/smear off after quite a while in the pool. The best thing about their sunscreen is that it is also a mineral powder so you can reapply throughout the day without having to put oil or lotion over your foundation. It comes in a handy bottle/applicator with the powder in one end and a roll out brush in the other -- no mess!

Even after spending an entire day morning til evening sitting (sweating) in the blazing sun at the soccer fields, my Bare Minerals stayed in place and looked almost as fresh as first applied.

Sorry, can't help with mascara though as I usually skip it in the summer (dark hair, dark brows, dark lashes) except for evenings or special occasions, in which case I recommend Lash Domination (by Bare Minerals of course!).

Another vote for Bare Minerals, but I prefer the foundation in the compact. It's a great product and I'm glad the compact is an option since I was a butterfingers with the other style (but I still used it for many years!). ;) I have also used Maybelline waterproof mascara for years and have had great luck with it (Great Lash or Lash Defining).

Waterproof mascara, yes. Waterproof eyeliner? It depends. I use Clinique Quickliner, which is not waterproof. It stays put in WDW summer days and sweaty workouts. However it will smudge a bit if active in the pool like using the slide.

How would you say the compact is different? I use the regular stuff and I like it, but I don't feel like it lasts well. Maybe I'll switch! (sorry to kinda hijack :) )

I just found eyeliner at CVS, Maybeline Ink'd... it's pretty sturdy stuff for hot weather- I still haven't found anything that won't melt for a light foundation- just been using a clear primer and clinique double powder

I went in late-June 2011, and yes I would recommend waterproof mascara. I also used my Boscia oil-blotting papers a lot, too (usually when I had a minute to sit down, like at meals and such).

Makeup Forever makes a makeup setting spray that I highly recommend for visiting the parks in the summer months. It's called Mist & Fix, and it's about $12 at Sephora. You just spray it on your face after you're done applying your makeup in the morning, and it stays put all day until you wash your face.

Non waterproof make-up definitely sweats/melts off. I gave up and just don't worry about it anymore. It's too stinkin hot to matter! :)

I'll look in to Bare Mineral. I use Revlon Colorstay foundation now. The color I use is well matched to my skin color so I don't think it will streak or discolor, maybe just sort of wipe off at most. But, I've never tried it humidity. I've never used foundation from a compact.

Oh my make up is a must at Disney.... I get it professionally tattooed on.....

I am a devoted Lancome fan and have to wear mascara and eyeliner as well. However, I hate waterproof mascara and how it feels and doesn't come off well, etc - yet I found L'oreal waterproof mascara - double extend I think it is (it is double sides) - couldn't believe for around $11-$12
I found the first waterproof mascara that I love!! Highly recommend it!

Yeah, I don't like that feel either. I'll check that. Getting down to the wire now!

TOTALLY agree!!
I love Lancôme but even the regular double extend mascara is awesome! I buy Lancôme or that L'Oreal one! Great recommendation.
The one I use from L'Oreal is maroon and white.
