Do I need to update my ME schedule?

I cancelled the first night of our BCV reservation and am staying at Hyattt that first night-

Questions:
1. If our luggage have the Beach Club tags, can we leave it or do we need to get them from Baggage Claim that night and bring it with us the next day?
2. Do we need to change our ME schedule for the next day or will our current booklet still work?


I was hoping we can just get our overnight bag and leave the rest for ME to bring to BCV.

I believe you have to accompany your luggage to the resort, regardless that the luggage isn't actually with you on ME. I highly doubt you'll be able to do that and will have to claim all luggage when you arrive and then bring it all with you back in the AM. You should also adjust you ME reservation, since you no longer have a WDW hotel reservation for that first night.
