DH and I will going on our first trip to VB in May :banana::banana::banana: I was wondering if we need to make any dining reservations for Shutters and Sonya's or do we just make them once we are there? Thanks everyone :cool1::cool1:

I've never eaten at Sonyas. For Shutters I've never needed a reservation...but...if you know your plans, it never hurts.

If you want to go the either the character breakfast, or the sunday brunch it's not a bad idea to make your ressies in advance -- that will help ensure you get a time closest to what you may want.

Otherwise I wouldn't worry too much about ADR's.

Would you have any more info regarding the character breakfast? Thanks.:thumbsup2

I am staying at Vero in October and the only one I am booking is Sonya's for our wedding meal.:goodvibes

I'd make reservations esp for Sonya's or for the specialty events but a week or 2 before is likely plenty ahead.

The character breakfast is on Saturday, not sure what ones show up. We go to VB at Easter and I think it's pretty popular with the locals as well as guest as the parking lot is packed on Sat. I think you have a lot of extended families visiting snowbirding parents/grandparents for the holiday. ;)

Just to be one the safe side I'd make a ressie.

Oh I see. We are going from Vero to our Disney cruise on the Saturday so might have to give it a miss.
Thanks for the info.:thumbsup2

Thanks for the info everyone :banana::banana: I made ressies for Sonya's for one night so the other 2 nights I will wait and see what will be going on. Maybe we will go off site and eat some place. Is Shutters any good? We are looking forward to our first visit to Vero Beach !!!!!!:banana::banana: Thanks again !!!!!

Lots of great restaurants in the area, I would definitely go off site to eat if the weather if not bad.

Thanks Dean !!!!
Any places that you would recommend?
Thanks again :cool1::cool1:
Jack Bakers Lobster Shanty, Bono's BBQ and the Italian place in the strip mall where Publix is by the regular mall in VB are my top 3. Ocean Grill is many people's top choice, I haven't eaten there. Other top choices Mr. Manatee, Capt, Hiram's, Squid Lips come to mind. They are all different. There are many early bird specials in the area, save a few $$ if you can.
