It seems like I read someplace that you need to cover the ecv's when it is raining. Does anyone know about this? Do you use ponchos to keep the seats from getting wet? Hope it doesn't rain!

I always carry a poncho for rain... if your on your seat you can cover the whole seat by placing the back down the back of the seat.... and fanning it out. When off.. just use the same to cover it all, sometimes i've used a plastic bag to cover the front handles.whether or not i'm on it.... the rest i've never worried about.

I know that Walker's would provide a shower cap in a small plastic bag and ask that you put the cap over the control box if it was raining. However, I also heard that at least one of the rental companies said not to use it in the rain at all.

If I am out and it is raining, I will put a poncho on, draping the front over the handlebars and the back over the seat back. It generally works to keep me dry.

And basically I have no problem in the rain, except having to disassemble the unit to get it into my car quicky if I am done for the day at the parks (without getting completely soaked..

Thanks for the tips. We will bring an extra poncho and shower caps in case we need them. Hopefully we won't need them, ha!
