Do I need to call Disney to correct ds's age concerning dining??

We(me, dh, ds who will turn 10 in Jan and dd6) are taking our 2nd trip to the world at the end of Feb., and we are going to be on the dining plan. When I called to make the reservation, I told the CM about my son turing 10 only a month before we arrive, and she laughed and said "but how old is he NOW?" I just laughed about it and made the reservation. I just received my invoice in the mail and it reads the children being 9 and 6.
I am wondering if I need to call to correct this? I was very honest about his age, and I don't want him to have to eat off the children's menu the whole trip, he is not very big, but he eats more than chicken nuggets and hot dogs now. What do you all think I should do?

Just ask for the adult menu for him when you are seated.

It is up to you. My DS is 9. He is TINY and eats as much as a gnat. Once he turns 10 it will be painful for me to pay Adult dining prices for him.

If you are doing buffets remember everyone will have the same food choices. We also found that CS places don't seem to care if kids order from the adult menu. So the real question is whether or not you want him to be able to order off the adult menu at TS places, and whether he can finish an adult appetizer, entree, and dessert each time. Our DS was fine with the kids menu, and DH and I often had more than enough on our plates to share with DS if he was interested. At Concourse Steakhouse DS had a shrimp cocktail, steak, and ice cream all from the kids menu! Not every TS has crummy choices for kids, so check out the menus on www.allearsnet.com to see what his choices will be. The other option I have seen mentioned is one parent eating something from the kids menu and letting the child have the adult entree. The waiter won't care if you trade plates with your child.

I personally wouldn't change his plan to adult, but that's just me. Is it cheating? Yes. But I would still leave him listed as a child. If you change him for dining you will have to change him for park passes as well. When I was comparing prices it popped our package up by about $300 to count DS as an adult.
