Do I NEED the Fantasmic Package?

Just wondering if I NEED to get the package in order to get decent seats. We were there in early June and had the package (Hollywood Brown Derby) but it stormed and the show was cancelled. We ended up going later in the week without the package and got good seats.

This year we are going in late June. I really want to eat at 50's Prime Time instead of one of the package restaurants, but don't want the theatre to be full. There will be 5 of us.

Get the package or not? When do they let the regular people in?

We go in June/July and have used the package only once. Actually, the seats we got for the package were way to the right and when we did it as walk ins, we were able to get in the middle. If you could split up a bit, it is always easier to find seats as walk ins. Do the later show; the first show's line is absolutely absurd as it snakes it's way to the end of Sunset Blvd. And there IS the weather issue in the summer. Like you said, a rainshower washes it out whether you have the package or not. We choose "not".

We went this past week and it was CROWDED! Did not do the package and we sat in the second row in the middle. However my sister had to be guided because of an eye injury so we did not wait in all those people. We took the handicapp access.

So if you want to get there early and wait and wait. Then don't do the package.

P.S. We ate at Primetime and loved it. But don't get the meatloaf -- it is not that good.

Had great seats all 3 times we have gone, including right before Thanksgiving and Spring Break. Those times we did get there like one hour 30 mins at least before the show and got perfect seats. Our last trip in August, my kids and I ate at Prime Time before Fantasmic and it was a leisurely meal (that's a nice way of saying boy were we there a long time). We got to Fantasmic maybe 40 mins before showtime and got the same great seats we always get.
