It's been years since our one trip to Universal and I can't remember what we did for tickets that trip. Do I need to buy the 2 park/day tickets, or is 1 park/day enough for us? I plan to stay at Royal Pacific, if we do book.

I don't think you can see/do everything in one day.

But you only need 1 night at RPR. You will recive the EP for both check in and check out days.

You could certainly do either way. It is super easy to walk between parks, so you can go back and forth several times daily with park-to-park tickets. You would also then get to ride the Hogwarts Express train between parks, which is a different experience each way. Park-to-park also would give you a little cushion in case a ride is experiencing technical difficulties during your day in that park, or in case one park is unusually busy (though express passes mitigate these issues). It's up to you whether the benefits are worth it.

Also if you just do one hotel night, you may want to plan the water rides accordingly so you will have access to change after.

I was thinking 4 night with 3 day tickets...I do like the sound of the train, so maybe I should get the more flexible tickets. Thanks!

Being able to bounce between the parks is the best. You can see the rides in one park from the other- it'd be annoying to see them but not be able to ride them. :)

If you are going to get 3 day park to park tickets, that is the same price as a seasonal annual pass.

With the annual pass you can probably get an annual pass rate at your hotel.

The annual pass rate usually comes out 90 days before your date.

I forgot to add, if you get the AP rate at the hotel, that will pay for the cost of the upgrade.
