I have a split reservation which currently has five days (Tues-Sat) at the first resort and three days(Sat-Tues) at the second resort. I see that that second resort now has an opening on the Saturday that I would like to switch to. Do I have to do this switch through MS so that I don't lose the origininal reservations? Trouble is MS is currently closed :( I would have to borrow points to add the extra date prior to canceling the other, so that is not an option. Any suggestions?

You can't drop a day online, you will need to call MS. You can add to the second reservation online.

Am I correct that I would then have to borrow points for that day, and not be able to credit the ones back after I cancel? Thanks for your help!

Borrowing is a final transaction. If you borrow points to book the extra night, and then get MS to drop a night from your other reservation, you will be left with whatever points you used for the first reservation. Any points that were borrowed will stay borrowed, and then you can bank the released points if they are current year. If you used banked points for the first reservation, they are stuck in the current use year.

You would be smart to wait until MS opens and have them release your points from reservation #1 and use them to book reservation #2, if it is still available.

Called at exactly 9:00 and was able to make the adjustment. Thanks for the help!!!!
