Sea lice aside, does it get buggy in Nassau or on CC? Just wondering if I should bring the bug off.

You know, I don't remember this being a problem in any location we were at.

I think it would depend on the excursion you are planning to do. for instance, in Jamacia, we went on a plantation tour, and I was very thankful that I had some bug spray with me, or we would have been eaten up like crazy. I just always carry some in my backpack. Normally you wouldn't need it, but on some excursions it might be a good idea to have some on hand.

DH and I had this discussion while we were eating at CC. We suddenly noticed that there were NOT any bugs flying around us! Then, we realized that we had not seen ONE since we arrived on the ship!

We did buy and use Sea Safe. We bought it at the Cocoa Beach Ron Jon's shop. I had called the day before we left, and asked if they carried it. The girl said "no". However, it was right with all the other sunscreens, once we arrived.

Add it to my growing list of "Brought but didn't use/need"!! At the rate I'm going, next cruise we should be down 2 pieces of luggage!!;)

If you can get it down to 2 pieces of luggage, I want you to come help me pack next time. True this was our first cruise, and we were probably the ONLY family who brought 8(!) pieces of luggage, but even with all I've learned, I don't know if I can get much lower that 6. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
My hat is off to you! You must be a cruise pro!

Yes, you will need bug spray. We were on the June 15th 7-day and I got bitten by no-see-ums on CC, as did several others I talked with. Thankfully, I had bug repellant with me, so I only got two bites. I also had extra-strength Benadryl spray that I put on the bites right away so they didn't itch. No-see-um bites itch like crazy.

Happy planning!

When I went to Serenity Bay earlier this month I happened to look down and saw 5 mosquitos on my left arm feasting away. They were absolutely everywhere and we were under attack ! To be fair it had been raining the whole morning and that may have been the reason why they were out in full force. We split and went to the family beach and didn't see any more mosquitos. If you aren't planning on using Serenity Bay I wouldn't worry about bug spray. And even if you were I personally wouldn't worry about it either :D I think that the rain situation made it extra bad for us.
