We were thinking about going to Beaches & Cream for some ice cream during our trip in Sept 8 - 12. Do we need an ADR? Possibly let the family share a kitchen sink. Would probably be an evening after a park day. (They begin closing early that week since summer rush is over. )

:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Thank you!

You can get takeaway on some small Sundaes, you are better off with an ADR if you want the Kitchen Sink, however there is a chance of walk up during quiet times :)

Unless you want take out on ice cream, you will need an ADR. If you want the Kitchen Sink, you must choose to eat inside, and that normally requires an ADR.

Honestly, I've been once. For take out. Never went back.

If you're big into ice cream and want the kitchen sink, then I agree to get an ADR. If you just want ice cream, I'd to across the lake to the candy shop and get a cone!

Disclaimer: I'm not a big ice cream gal anymore. I do like my sweets, though! Our experience was burgers, and they sucked!

We walked up and got sundaes and ate at a table right outside! (We didn't order the kitchen sink, but the person in front of us ordered the little version of it to go.)

WE were once and done as well. It was okay, but just okay. I'm not sorry tha we wnet but I was never tempted to go back.

You will need an ADR, even for ice cream. Beaches and Cream is so small and books up really fast. It's unlikely even that you'll get a walk up, even during slow times.

I agree with the recommendation that if you wanted to get the Kitchen Sink (i.e., dine at Beaches & Cream), you should make an ADR. We tried walking up one (last evening, party of 3) and were told that the wait was an hour. Part of the problem is it is very small (with somewhere on the order of only 9 tables).

As others have said, if you want the kitchen sink, you will need an ADR. If you just want ice cream, you can do the take-out line or go over to the Boardwalk ice cream shop (they basically serve the same ice cream). There is also the Fountain at the Dolphin (a short walk from BC) that has great ice cream and sundaes or, for even better ice cream, get some scoops at the ice cream shop at France (they have the best ice cream on property IMHO)

We have an adr for our next trip. Always did walk up and had to wait 20 minutes or so. Not a bad area to wait in my opinion. Time saving for this trip. Sundaies and fries or onion rings is what we always get.

You will need an ADR. As a matter of fact, my experience has been that the servers will first ask you whether you plan to order a meal or just have ice cream, so obviously a lot of guests only go for the ice cream. Also, we had an ADR when we were there during a somewhat slow time last spring and still had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. I would never go there without an ADR.

We ate there in 2003 and I recall that the food was way less than impressive. I thought it would be fun to go for ice cream and let my little one see what a kitchen sink is all about!
