Do we need a visa for a cruise from Barcelona to Rome? I thought we only needed a passport but then read on the DCL website we could also need a visa...this is what it says on the DCL website:

Additional Required Documents for Round-Trip Cruises from/to Barcelona, Copenhagen and Civitavecchia and One-Way Cruises from: .
  • Barcelona to Civitavecchia
  • Civitavecchia to Barcelona
In addition to a valid passport, you may be required to obtain multiple-entry visas for Europe (Schengen Visa) based on your nationality. It is each Guest's responsibility to identify and obtain all the necessary visas. It is important to note that Guests without proper documentation will be unable to sail. Guests without proper documentation will be unable to travel.

Anyone have any insight? Where would I apply for one of these visas?

Are you a us or canada citizen? They currently do not require a tourist visa in the schengan zone. However beginning in 2021 us citizens will have to apply for a Etias waiver. Which is not a visa but rather a travel authorization

People of many nationalities sale on Disney cruises, so that is a common information statement. If you are an American, you will not need a visa for this cruise. However, I find this page helpful for looking at information about visas if traveling outside the US - https://cibtvisas.com/visa-quick-check

I haven’t used this site personally yet, but my travel agent told me to go on and put in my nationality and then choose all the ports I will be visiting to see who requires what. Good luck!

Thank you both so much for the links! Very helpful!:)
