Headed to MK this Friday and HS this Saturday. The crowd calendar shows a “1” for both days. Do I need a touring plan?
Anyone there right now that can help? I looked for the “Here Now and Just Back” thread but the last post was early July soooo… Help appreciated

I’m also headed to HS this Saturday (& MK Monday). We usually use a touring plan, but the lines this week have been ridiculously short (as people’s recent experiences attests too). So hard to know if Labor Day will get busier!

Maybe just a plan for the first few rides you want to hit? We were there last week when crowds were low and that's what I used the touring plan for. But, we didn't stick to anything firm after the first few rides as we mainly just bounced around chasing the short lines.

WDW hasn’t had a day over crowd level 1 in 21 days. The average wait for 7dmt yesterday was like 25 minutes. You don’t need a touring plan. The parks are dead.

Never used one. We do our own thing versus what others tell us to do. We like it better that way.

Now it the perfect time to just wing it.

Sure, you might get to a wait that's 22 minutes and then it drops to 10. But that works out because that wait that was 18 minutes is now 5. You won't be seeing 120 minute waits anywhere. Probably not even 60 minute waits. Just enjoy your day without sticking to a plan.

Hi, here now. Arrived 8/29 leave 9/10. Mon was MK, did 7 Dwarfs at rope drop, walked onto(not exaggerating), in order, Peter Pan, Small World, Haunted Mansion, Splash Mtn (was glad it was up!), Big Thunder Mtn, Pirates and waited 10 min at Jungle Cruise. Tue was HS, got a boarding group (30!) did Mickey and Minnie at rope drop walked onto Tower, Rock n Roller, Toy Story Midway Mania, waited 10 min at Slinky Dog (sign said 20) walked on Swirling Saucers, was time for my boarding group but they were down so I walked into Muppets and when I came out it was back up. Line took about 20 min to get to boarding. Walked onto Star Tours. Yesterday was Epcot and while I was really just there for the food I rope dropped Test Track, then started eating and when I was done (around 1:45) walked onto Soarin (sign said 10 min but walked into video with Patrick (Putty anyone?). Today was AK. I decided to test the premise that there really is no one here relatively speaking so I arrived purposefully at 9:00. FOP said 10 min but I walked into the first scanning room without waiting (long walk to get there though) and they were allowing reentry so I rode it again, walked onto Navi River, walked directly onto a safari vehicle (wait said 5 min), walked onto Everest (sign said 5 min) and it was time for my reservation at Tiffins (first time HIGHLY recommended. My first trip here was in 1973 and have come the last 14 years in a row and I have NEVER EVER seen it like this. I assume with the holiday weekend coming crowds might increase but from my perspective you really don't need a touring plan.
