I just ordered a rayshade for the June sun in Orlando. Will the rayshade also protect from rain or do I need to get a raincover too? I have a Mac Volo if that matters.
oooh good question. I just bought the rayshade too and we have the Triumphs, they come with rain covers, but I don't think they'll fit over the shade. ... hmmmm..
I have the Triumph and it came with the rain cover, but I have yet to used it. I also bought the rayshade and used it on the stroller everyday. The rain cover is always in the basket ready to used. I would think the shade would protect the stroller from sprinkles, but not Florida downpours. It might hold off a little stronger rain until it was saturated, but then I would think it would start dripping through.
Maybe someone else has experience with the rayshade in the rain.
I would think you could put the rain cover up under the rayshade if you didn't want to remove it.
Definitely, rain cover!!!!! Although, for a light rain, what about scotchguarding the rayshade? hmmm, I'll have to think about that...
A downpour--and there are a lot of those on hot FL days...you need the big guns...
Definately, definately, definatley bring the rain cover. We were caught in what I could only describe as a flash flood in the Magic Kingdom last year...without our rain cover. It was a nightmare. We have found that it's helpful to have it and put all of our belongings in the stroller (under the cover) when it starts to rain and we throw on our ponchos.
