do I need a netbook, if I have a smartphone?

My laptop is old and the cost to fix it wasn't worth it, so I sold it for parts. I have an htc evo which i've been using at home for internet. On black friday I happened to get the last acer aspire netbook for $157, which was on a whim. I haven't even opened it yet. Does anyone have both a smart phone and netbook? I'm trying to decide if I should just return it or keep it. I'm thinking about getting the iphone 4s, so I could use the money towards that.

At a guess I would say a lot of people have a smart phone, a netbook, a desktop pc and a tablet/ereader and more....... we use them all for different purposes here- a smart phone alone would not be enough for me if that was all I had to access the internet. I love my netbook for how easy it fits in a bag for travel yet watching movies on it etc is still great.....not sure I would like to watch movies on a smartphone? I also hook up my netbook to tvs to watch online content on a bigger screen. We are fairly computer crazy here though....and while some would never dream of taking a laptop on vacation we each take our own!

Do you have another computer you can use? If not, I'd say, keep the netbook. If you do, and the netbook would be only for travel, etc., then the smartphone may be enough. I have a dumb phone, and iPod touch, and a laptop. I can go online with my iPod if there's wifi, but it's a pain, really. When we travel we bring my laptop so we can get online if we need to. It's easier!

I have an iPhone, tablet, laptop, and desktop computer and honestly they're all for different things so it doesn't bother me at all. I use my phone on the go when I need to call people, text, or occasionally play a game or check something online. My tablet plays better games, lets me read books and watch movies. It's a lot easier on the eyes than a tiny phone screen. I have my laptop for word processing/work on the go because typing on a tablet is murder if you try to do anything that takes awhile or needs a bigger screen. And lastly my desktop is, admittedly, mostly for games and graphic design.
