Do I need a bike lock?

We will be bringing our bikes to FW along with a $500 bike trailer/jogging stroller for our kids. I am assuming the bikes and trailer will be safe when they are parked at the pool, playground, store, petting zoo, restaurant, etc.

But, I thought I would ask -- I don't like to assume anything!!!
Do I need a lock for the bike trailer/stroller?

Same question was asked a couple weeks ago and the use of a lock was advised in many replies. We bring our bikes with us and ALWAYS lock them. I think you should use a lock also. Better to be safe than sorry.

i would definetly secure the 500.00 trailer, it could be just to tempting for some

We'll be doing the same thing, but our trailer/stroller isn't near that expensive. Picked ours up at a thrift store for $12, then had to get the tow bar and new tubes for the tires, adding about $60 to the total. Still, a bike stroller for under $80 was a great deal.

I doubt anyone will be looking at ours as something worth taking since it's seen better days, but we always lock EVERYTHING up. I figure it's better to be safe than sorry.

Will you be out there just after the Thanksgiving holidays? If so, look for us pulling our 3 y.o. DD around the campground.

We didn't bother with locks. My Bike is 12 years old and DH's was a $99 Costco special but for something valuable like your trailer I would lock it up.

GOT some really nice GIANT ROAD BIKES...GO FOR 600. AND UP SO
we are in the habit of locking up...we ususally ride the trail to wilderness lodge, Lock up by the bar hut...I go to the gym for an hour and hubby gets the paper ....then we do lunch...low cal, of course....
hey, an early morning ride or run or hike, you will see a family of deer, and one early am...red fox... some interesting birds...
