I see Song has okay prices out of Logan direct to Orlando. Do I buy now or wait to see what happens with their changes, etc? I understand the flights may/will change, times, maybe not direct, etc. But the prices are good now. So do I buy knowing things will change or wait?

It depends. Mostly on how anxious a traveller you are.

Understand that "Song" is being merged back into Delta in May, so your flights will not be Song, but will be Delta. Your flight times may or may not change. And your direct, non-stop may or may not change. Delta Express flew direct, non-stop from BOS to MCO before Song, so I imagine Delta will also keep the non stops.

If the prices are good, I would book and just understand I would have to keep an eye on things.

I would be skeptical to book anything on Song. Delta is closing 19 Gates at Logan and once Song ends in May so they will be consolidating alot of flights. There is a very, very good chance you flights would change.

Are you sure about that? I know Delta is closing/giving up 16 gates at Orlando International Airport, but I haven't heard and can't find anything about them closing gates at Logan. On the other hand, I do know they're trying to negotiate not having to pay for the new terminal which Delta solely is leasing from Massport...

I bought mine for August AND I just booked them to Los Angeles also....the price is what made up my mind but I just need to keep watching the times...arg.

I believe they are closing those gates in Orlando. I'm not sure that Terminal A has 19 gates to begin with. I'm sure that the flights will change..some from non-stop to a layover. If you want to get that good rate, book now. I loved flying with Song, but I'm waiting for JetBlue to open their window for late Oct before I do anything.

I would book if the price is good. If there is a problem with the flight time as you get closer to leaving. Delta will "probably" either offer a seat on another plane or full refund. I know Delta changes flight times alot. I will be on a Delta/song flight for my jan26-31 flight and it has changed by min. If it went from a non stop to a layover I would not hesitate to call and change my flight. They have changed my flights when on Song and had NO problem changing to an earlier (1 day even) with not a problem.

I am sure you will be ok.

Have U checked Jetblue. I find that I fly down on one and back on another and it is less expensive. Just and alternative to check into. Have a great vacation. :wizard:

Sorry...typed Logan but meant MCO...it will still affect long range reservations as they will be consolidating more and more flights.

I booked for August with Song because of the price. Then I saw all the hoopla on the boards about the merge. I will cross my fingers and hope for the best. Delta has always been a good airline so I am sure they will do their best to accomodate. My only concern is that I will end up with a stopover. I am trying not to worry about it. I will truly miss Song although I understand that Delta is taking all of their best traits.
