Do I Have Worst Boulder Ridge Room?

For these rooms, it would be nice if they offered them as Value Studios at a lower point per night basis so at least you knew going in you weren't getting a spectacular view or anything. Lower the point per night by even just a little compared to a normal Studio and they would all be gone right at the 11 month mark with no complaints from guests.
When I stayed at Aulani when it first opened, I had an "island view" room. In reality, it was a view of the parking garage next door. If you leaned to the right you could see the island, and to the left, a sliver of ocean.
When I got back home I complained and they returned points to me to make it the equivalent of the standard view points.

You got a Famous Room.
There are all kinds of views.
Once you were asked to move. It depends on availability. As you mentioned, there are 5-10 rooms with this view.

Close the drapes.
I am at the end, and there is one room to the right. There is the same configuration a floor above and a floor below, from what I can see.
That means there are 6 rooms that DVC knows have a terrible view.
And by the way, I saw a woman with an ice bucket get off on my 3rd floor. I asked her if the one ice machine on the floor is still broken. She said yes, and don't go up to the 4th floor, because that won't isn't working either.
One ice machine per floor, and they can't keep them working?

First studio off the lobby at Kidani is also awesomely bad... right over the luggage storage. Although, I imagine since there is no more luggage service to and from the airport it isn't nearly as bad as it was in 2018...

BLT only has 3 or 4 for the whole building. Now that's nuts.

Actually I think there are only two ice machines at BLT….4th floor and 9th floor, but the hallways are not long and there are 6 elevators, so not too bad.
Boardwalk has a one bedroom Boardwalk view that is awful. Can only fit two chairs on the balcony and can only access the balcony from the bedroom. The roof is so close you feel like you can’t breathe.
we’ve gotten a few of not so great rooms.

On the positive side, The very last studio is about 9” wider than most studios and is a dedicated studio so you don’t have to worry about a connected 1BR.

Sadly that view is still better than the view we had at Grand Floridian Villas a couple years ago...at least you can see some trees here. At VGF we had the Porte Cochere roof view...sit on the balcony and look at the roof eaves. But truly sorry you got the worst Boulder Ridge view!

We had that room in our one and only stay at Grand Floridian. And that gable was NOT clean at all.. spider webs, mildew and moss all over it. We went out on the balcony once and then never opened that door again.

They were very busy this morning. They unloaded chairs, a trash container, and what appeared to be electrical equipment.

My first ever stay I got that BRV and went back down to the desk crying cause I thought that was the room allocated in my contract and I would have that terrible room every visit… They gave me a different room but I never really liked VWL and Sold 200 points about a year ago.
Andthe first stay at BLT studio with the so narrow angle you could not walk with studio couch opened .And those vultures chose our balcony the entire weekend Just sitting there
..Creeped me out and kept curtains closed the entire time.
But those points were so cheap back then .
It never occurred to me to complain .

Has anybody walked on ground level from BLT pool to the tennis courts? Those rooms in back are always empty looking and very creepy like a scary movie is going to happen soon!

Maybe I am in the minority here, but I kinda enjoy the backstage oddly placed room views.

My fav of our worst views was at BWV standard view 1BR overlooking the roof & parking lot & porte-cochere. Saw a lot of things from that balcony..ambulance visit, got to wave at Goofy and Pluto, scooters delivery, owners lockers delivery, lot of food delivery - Instacart/door dash/Uber eats, dogs use the side grass spot to do their business, minnie vans ramping up etc. Perfect spot to drink my afternoon rose and be nosy! I even requested this view again for my trip and got it 🤣

Lol, it’s nice to hear from a glass half- full person. We recently stayed in one of the new rooms at GF and got a perfect view. DH still found things to complain about. Definitely glass half- empty.

Worst DVC room view? I'm not certain but it's certainly close. I request lakeview at BRV every time and have never gotten it so welcome to that club! lol

I've had the "dumpster" view at BLT. The VGF Port cochere roof room that was posted earlier in the thread too. I think my favorite though was my GC concierge room (so hotel side). I looked out a sea of green roof top. Concierge at Jambo isn't all that great on the pool side either. That's been the side we've gotten 80% of the time there. On the other hand there have been many good view rooms too.

Yikes. That was really poorly designed. No guest rooms should ever overlook working areas like that. I thought I had a few bad views before but that really puts it into perspective.

After 12 years with DVC, I am now making my first stay at Boulder Ridge, Deluxe Studio.
I am in room 3562. which is the last room of a very long hallway.
I asked for upper level, lake view.
This room has a view of the laundry facility! It is now almost 11 pm, and the facility is still lit up; I'm guessing it runs 24 hours a day.
I assume there are 5 floors of rooms that have this view.
I think it is a lot of nerve to give people who paid DVC for a "deluxe experience" a room with a view of laundry bins and a factory.View attachment 701562
I have had this room!!! TWICE! Been a Member for 22 years........you should see the last SSR and OKW views I had. And it was a split stay-----left one bad view of AC units (like 6 of them) and went to SSR with view of AC units and bus stop........

Almost all studios at OKW will overlook 6 or so AC units. It is just how the layout is. I thought all SSR AC units emweee on the roof though.

OKW is my original HOME resort. Never had a view as bad as I did the last stay.........I have had spectacular views of golf course and sassagoula river canal. I don't think there is any doubt, that not almost all OKW studios have THIS view? Day or night......just couldn't make it even remotely good. Sorry Jackal...have to disagree with ya on this.
