:confused3 we are going to disney in march for 2 weeks is it best to plan each day and stick to it or just have a basic idea of what we want to do

Is this your first visit?

Two weeks is a long time and I think you could be pretty spontaneous and manage to do a lot, although March is a busy period.

I would recommend utilizing the EMH (if you are staying onsite) and fast pass, take time to enjoy the parks. Get an Unofficial Guide to WDW, but avoid their commando type touring plans.

Stop and smell the roses (and the cinnamon rolls on Main Street).

i say have a basic idea of what you want to do & see at wdw since you have 2 weeks. although i would make some ps's for those cant miss signature wdw restaurants or ressies for recreation like a wdw tour or spa. just incase as some are very popular.

I agree - just a basic idea of what you want to do. You have plenty of time to enjoy alot & be able to be spontaneous.

Actually, no one, regardless of trip length, needs to plan everything they do. We rarely plan anything outside of MAYBE a meal a day - just go with general knowledge - We have a great time. My DB & his wife never plan anything & they always have a great time too.

I think you'l definitely have time to see everything, atleast almost everything! We're going for a week, and I don't plan every minute. I made a few PS's, and I made notes of when the EMHs are. We'll wing it from there.

luvtinkerbell we have a chat tomorrow at 7pm your time. You should join us. You can get lots of advice about planning your trip from fellow Brits.

I think the most important thing is to figure out what rides/attractions are on your MUST DO list. Then find out when the best times are do see them. You don't have to plan every detail, but a general idea of what you want to do and see would certainly help!

We did something like this our first trip: each of us made a list of the attractions we most wanted to see, then prioritized their top 3 for each park. I complied one master list of those top 3's and we made sure we experienced those before we moved on to the other attractions. By the end of our 6-day stay, we were quite relaxed and simply went with the flow as we'd already done the things we most wanted to do. That should work great for a longer stay - get those "musts" out of the way and then wander or revisit as you like.

I always love to have everything planned out or at least plan as much as you can, and everything else will fall in place.

I'm not sure when you are going in March, but with that being Easter month this year, I think I'd plan at least some Priority Seatings. I'd figure out a couple of sit down resturants I'd like to eat in, decide which meal and which day, and call and make priority seating for that time. If you don't and it's busy, you could be standing in long lines to get counter service food, or eating at really early or late times, and still waiting long to get seated.

:cool1: thanks to everyone for answering we have made a few ps seatings for breakfast and dinner but other than that we werent sure so ill try to join you in chat at 7 see you then :flower:

I would second making a list of your must-do items. My mom, who winters in Florida, went a few years ago (can you believe she doesn't go every year they're down there? I don't know how I raised her so wrong...) for at least 2 weeks and they STILL missed doing some things because they had no plan whatsoever.
