I’m not sure we’ll be able to make it to WDW for a planning session before the wedding. DF and I are taking 3 weeks off from work for the wedding and honeymoon, and we have season tickets for the Spurs, so it leaves us with little room for another vacation.
Is there anyone who did not have a planning session? How were you able to select stuff for the wedding? How did everything turn out? Do you wish you had done a planning session? I know I just asked a lot of question, but any help would be great. Thanks!!

We did not have a planning session either. The planner will go through everything with you step-by-step over the phone and can email you everything you need. By researching online (especially through forums like this), we were able to make the best informed decisions for us...and made sure we knew every single option available.

The only downside I could think off was not having a cake tasting.

Overall, the planner will walk you through everything over the phone and by email. But do your research online and make sure you know all the options.

i agree with mhcueball2, i did not feel the need to go to wdw for my planning session because df and i worked there in the past and i am familiar with every area that we will be in. that being said, i absolutely did do my research through this board and the internet to help me make the most informed decisions i could. when i had my phone planning session, my wp was thrilled with how organized i was, i knew exactly what i wanted and the phone call took only 45 minutes out of the 2 hrs that we expected. it would be really useful to be on a computer at the same time you're ont he phone with them...during my floral call she needed to send me pics and my laptop made that so much easier! post post post on the disboards, everyone here is so helpful, it makes life so much easier!

Thanks for the advice, it means a lot to me :goodvibes . I feel a little better about not having a planning session now. I really would be lost if it were not for the boards. I just have to get organized and really start picking out what I want. I have not even looked at dresses for myself yet (and I work at David's Bridal). I think I'm the worst bride ever :rotfl:

I agree with what has been said. My DH and I were not able to have a planning session at WDW. It took one call with my planner and one with the florist plus a few emails. Our wedding and reception were great. I would not change a thing about how it all turned out. Everyone has given great advice. I did scan and email a picture of the cake I wanted and they did a great job recreating it. Have fun planning!!!!

do you have a pj yet? that is the most helpful thing! i think i didn't answer a question you asked me on the slip thread...i am going to dye my crinoline because i don't like how the white ones look under the light gold...so i'm going to dye it a very light pink, just to take the harshness out of the white! at least picking out a dress should be easy for you ;)

No I don't have a PJ yet, I'll try to start one once I get more organized.
Now I understand the crinoline dye, I have to admit I was a little confused, I've been working at David's for a while and had never heard of it.

I agree with everything that has been said already, I just wanted to say that I'm super jealous that you have Spurs season tickets! All of the NBA teams I like are nowhere near where I live.. heh :upsidedow

GO SPURS GO!!! I live 2 1/2 hours from San Antonio, but it's so worth the drive. The best part is this is the first season DF has his own season ticket, so it's like he's really becoming part of my family. Before me he was a Lakers fan. I might be taking his name, but he's taking my team :rotfl2:
