Do I have this right??? Genie + and ILL Quick Question

Just want to make sure I have this right...for Individual Attraction Lightning Lane (ILL$) you can choose a time you prefer...for Genie+ Lightning Lane (G+), you are essentially assigned the next available time.

But, if you are park hopping, the time on your selection will switch to 2pm if you try to book in the park you are hopping to. Example; you are in MK at 10 am and want to ride Soarin in EPCOT; you pull up the times for the rides in EPCOT and Soarin is at 12 pm. If you click on it and book it, the time will be automatically switched to 2 pm since that is the earliest you can enter EPCOT. Just FYI if you are a hopper, or a hopper reads this.

But also be careful picking times. With LL, you click on 10 am, by the time you confirm, it may still be 10 or magically changed to 11:30 or later. many threads complaining about this happening.

Was originally planning to book an ILL for Remy around 4 pm...can you cancel the reservation and get a refund if the time is changed?

My understanding is no. Once purchased, it is yours whether you use it or not. The only time I have heard of any refunds is if a ride goes down and you cannot use it. If your ILL is at 3pm and the ride goes down and comes back up at 6, but you left the park at 5, I don't believe you will get a refund as you could have ridden.
