Do I have enough time

Some family memebers will be flying into MCO on a Thursday Night in December. They are scheduled to arrive at 6pm. They do not have luggage. Do I have enough time to pick them up, drive back to POP, pick up the rest of the family and make the 8:30 performance of the Hoop Dee Doo Hoe Down? If the plane is late and we miss the show, will I be out the cost of the show?:confused3

If everything goes perfectly, and there are no delays, in theory, you would have enough time.

However, you don't say where they are flying out of, but I would not risk a non-refundable, pre-paid in full, reservation on an arrival night. The fact that it is December and you could have winter weather to contend with just reinforces that.

Plus, getting to the Hoop Dee Doo Theater can be kind of a production. Even if you're driving to Ft. Wilderness you will have to park at the Reception Outpost and take a bus to Pioneer Hall. If it were me I wouldn't risk missing the show. Too many things could throw you off schedule.

I'm not sure of the exact timing of how it would all need to work....but thinking of a few options to consider:

a) drop the family off at WL or FW before you go to the airport to pick up the others...they can relax, walk around, have a beverage, play, etc. and then you and the later crew meet them there in time for HDDR.

b) have the family take WDW transportation to FW while you are going to the airport to pick up the others.

Options a and b eliminate the extra trip over to Pop, which is not really close to FW.

c) you drive yourself and the family to FW and have the latecomers take a cab there...meet them in the parking lot to stash their carryon luggage in your car before the show.

this (c) eliminates your trip back and forth to the airport, which will take at least an hour or maybe more, depending on if you are there waiting for the latecomers to arrive, if their plane is late, traffic, etc.

And I'm just thinking off the top of my head...since it is prepaid...better for at least some of the party to get to experience HDDR than none of you (if the travel and transport plans hit major snags and you are at the airport, your family is at Pop, and HDDR is starting... )

If everything goes perfectly, then yes.

Yes, you will.

I would rethink the plan. A prepaid ADR on arrival night is never a good idea. There are just too many things that can go wrong and that would be a lot of money to put down the drain.
